PSA: AMD's Graphics Driver will Eat One CPU Core when No Radeon Installed

so the take away from this are; 1. coders are lazy and, 2. remove software for hardware no longer in the system. in other news, the sky is blue, grass is green and rain is wet  before the flames start, i think amd not doing their job is just as bad as leaving software on your system for...

RAM unstable after adding in a second pair of same type G.SKILL F4-3200C16D 16GB to 32GB

Could be the imc that needs more juice not the ram. I would test the sets alone and then manually set them to the slackest sets timings and bump the imc volts.

NVIDIA Reportedly Moving Ampere to 7 nm TSMC in 2021

Am I the only 1 thinking NV realise they can be behind on fab process and still hang in the performance and efficiency stakes so they can do that and save BOM? We all know it's all about the bottom line for them so untill they need to spend for the latest fab they won't.

AMD Confirms Ryzen 5000 Series Nomenclature for "Vermeer"

IPC is instructions per cycle. They have about the same IPC these days but intel has more frequency which reduces latency. Monolith chips help here too. That's what gets higher FPS, latency. Back to the topic, worst kept secret in a while this gens naming scheme xD

My money would be psu. Corsair built a great name but have since traded on that rep, the only great thing going for them today is their RMA service.

    Silver MX-4 cure time?

Yeah, as said the heat can help it spread/even out if the mounting pressure is low. Like i said it is only an issue with the thicker stuff but most modern ones are not so thick so not really an issue. I still have loads of MX2 knocking about but i will keep that in mind about 4 next time i'm in...

    Silver MX-4 cure time?

Some of the thicker ones can improve with a few thermal cycles, ICD comes to mind but that's about it. I am not sure about mx4 as i still use 2, 3 was worse so i never tried 4.

nvidia knows that this next year/18 month that pc gaming hardware will take a hit, they always do with the start of a new console cycle. as such they are going to try and cream as much margin off the top as they can.

Gone to 165 HZ what's the difference.

it should seem smoother to the eye. set it back to 60hz and then try 144/165hz and see if you can tell the difference. personally i can not tell the difference past 120hz :D

RTX 2070 Super: Screens go blank and freezes PC under heavy load, PSU or GPU?

Tried other drivers? Idk those PSU, is it multi rail and can you change the pcie power to another one? PSU is most likely on the hardware side but I'd try to rule out the software side first if I were you.

    CPU and RAM question

Faster ram will help CPU unleash as many FPS as you get for low Res gaming. Over locking would really help but you need the right CPU/mobo combo for that. Good cooling too :/

Editorial Microsoft DirectX 12 Ultimate: Why it Helps Gamers Pick Future Proof Graphics Cards

Like nearly every smartphone ever, you mean? Rtrt is still not common in games and those it is most I know who can don't for FPS reasons. If you share your connection then a router with QoS is needed imo if you don't want lag spikes when gaming.
