    X370 Motherboard - need help

In these days of unlocked multipliers and the fact Ryzen can make 25 MHz steps there is little to no need for a BLCK generator anyway. Any of the X370 boards from a reputable manufacturer will do.

List your Spec and a one year update plan

My specs are under my System specs and I have no plans at all to upgrade as I just upgraded to one of the most powerful systems AMD makes and I doubt they'll do better anytime soon, though if Vega comes out I might get one of those next year.

    Share your CPUZ Benchmarks!

Nah Nothing like that, cpu-z always fluctuates Core voltages based on how much the CPU is being stressed. Under load it goes up to 1.45 volts. At idle with nothing actively stressing the CPU (which is when I took the screenshot after finishing the benchmark) it drops voltages to ~0.40 or lower...

    Cooler for 1800x - H100i or H110i GT or H115i

For out of the box compatability with Ryzen the Corsair H110i or H110i GT both use the stock AMD bracket without having to change backplates or use special brackets.

Somebody would bring out an 1800X to show my lowly 1700X up XD

This just confirmed something for me, Ryzen actually has a higher IPC than Kaby Lake and if clocked at the same speed the Ryzen 7 will blow the pants off a 7700K in single threaded applications.

Are you going to Ryzen? Poll

Actually I compared my 8320's Single thread Cinebench score to the 1700X's at the same clock speed... it's 75% faster 154 for the 1700X @3.5 Ghz vs 88 for the 8320 @3,5

Are you going to Ryzen? Poll

I can't vote because I'm not going from Intel to AMD, what I am doing however is Upgrading from my current FX-8320/990 FX based system to an 1700X/X370 based one

    Display Port cable recommendation?

Check the cables that came with your monitor, there's probably a displayport cable amongst them. I know my Asus PB258Q came with one, using it right now.

upgrade from i7 Haswell to i7 Skylake

Forget that... wait 3 weeks and upgrade to an AM4 Ryzen based system for a lot cheaper for the same performance.

AMD's Ryzen 7 1700X Glorious Benchmarks Leak; IHS, Pin Layout Photographed

There's something I'd like to point out. Everyone is so intent on comparing these results with Intel CPUs and saying "still not enough IPC" But has anyone really compared just how much of an improvement the 1700X is over the previous generation FX CPUs I own an FX-8320 that scores 88 and 564...

US Prices of AMD Ryzen Processors Surface

Because if they can offer a CPU that beats/matches Intel's at half the price which one do you think consumers are going to consider first.

if the gpu cpu and MB connectors plugged in.Should this be the right way?

Wow, good catch, I never would have thought to consider he was using a completely modular PSU but rather was showing us the end of a prewired cable.

if the gpu cpu and MB connectors plugged in.Should this be the right way?

That Connector should be made up of 2 2x2 plugs, try reversing them, left one on the right, right one on the left Edit, on second look, that won't work either, wrong shaped pins

Do you need to use AA on a 25" 1440p IPS monitor?

You might also want to include the Asus PB258Q https://azerty.nl/36-4297-812258/asus-pb258q-led-monitor-25-.html
