    Post your gpu's ASIC quality

Sapphire HD7870 can oc higher at about 1225/1535(6140) but i'm ok with this oc because i don't see any huge difference between this oc and my highest. i see a huge difference between the stock 1000/1200(4800) and my current oc though.

    Card Failing?

gpu chip solder or memory is failing due to heat, try the baking trick, i revived many graphic cards, incl. laptop's that way, but i used a heatgun instead, many how to's on Youtube. if fixed, make sure to clean al dust and put new thermalpaste on it, or make a fan profile with higher fanspeed.

searching for a bios editor to modify my hd6850

the unlockrom methode is a no go, i guess it was already unlocked. i saved the bios with gpu-z also with trixx and with atiflash, i edited the 3 saved rom's but the fan settings stays like it is the stock rom unedited. idle 20% and hardly goes up in speed when the card gets hotter. i want it...

searching for a bios editor to modify my hd6850

hi, i'm looking for a bios editor other then RBE if there is any. its not to overclock or anything, but to modify the fan table. i know RBE had some BSOD problems with clock changing on HD6850/6870 cards dno about the 6900 series. but the fan table had no problem with BSOD's. the only problem...

VBE7 - vBIOS Editor for Radeon HD 7000 series cards

Gigabyte 6850 OC vbios flash to 6870

don't download a bios, backup another one from your card and edit it by yourself, so you dont have to worry about PCB issues and such. use darkhmz's bios editor for that -> http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=189089

    Windows7 RAM performance index...

i think indeed those WEI scores are not as it should be after all. RCoon gets a score of 7.5 for 2133mhz ram, while i have 7.8 for my 16gb (4x4) 1600mhz ram. or maybe RCoon's system is not optimal with chipset drivers, dont know, my other system with DDR2 1066mhz gets a score of 7.1

VBE7 - vBIOS Editor for Radeon HD 7000 series cards

i think your card gonna run hot if you fix the fanspeed constantly to 30% when playing a game or bench... i would rather pick 60 to 70% to play safe, it def gonna make less noise than 100%

    Post your gpu's ASIC quality

default clock is a little confusing with my 7870, in GPUZ its shows 1.059 on full load, Sapphire TRIXX shows a default of 1.118, and darkhmz's bios editor is showing a voltage of 1.219, and if i put like example 1.225 in the bios editor then GPUZ is showing something like 1.332 or so. :wtf: dno...

with no volt raising 1165 for the gpu and 1585/6340 for the memory 1170 for the gpu gets 1 at a 100 times or so a freeze, 1165 has no problems after 24 houres bench. but i'm happy with a flashed bios at 1125//1375/5500, not much of a performance diff, maybe 2 or 3 fps.

VBE7 - vBIOS Editor for Radeon HD 7000 series cards

well i don't know actually :) don't know if you put a verry high limit there so there is enough room to overclock ? and if its harmless or not for the card ? example the original bios value is 156 TDP and if i put there a value of lets say 300, or will i blow my gfx ? sry for the noob...
