    Sneak peek at 2070 Performance.

Im hoping there will be an '8800GT' version coming out this generation... Maybe something in the $500 range that matches the 2080 in 2019.

New NVFlash Released With Turing Support

It's a little risky, but seeing as there is a massive power limit on these cards, i can see this being popular.

Can bad CPU OC cause worse performance ?

Did u oc the memory as well or just cpu? Even if your cpu temps are ok your vrms might be cooking, which would effectively throttle you. Use aida to detect if this is happening. Usually cpu ocs are either stable or not, and throttling is what causes perf degradation. Memory oc is a different...

Worth upgrading CPU or getting a new motherboard?

you can probably get a used 7700 or 6700k pretty cheap. I think anything less and you wouldnt really notice a huge difference. i think a gfx card upgrade and some tweaking of the memory might get you best bang/buck.

NVIDIA RTX 2080 / 2080 Ti Results Appear For Final Fantasy XV

I mean... still seems like the sweet spot. Also once the used Pascals hit the stores, you can probably pick up a refurb/used 1080ti for $500ish.

NVIDIA RTX 2080 / 2080 Ti Results Appear For Final Fantasy XV

so wait... the $699 card that i got 2 years ago... is roughly as fast as the $799 card now... Well they certainly made it easy to not feel like i need to upgrade.

Picked up a 1080ti, Golden Chip?

It isn't... I have that card with good airflow. At stock it's great... very quiet, it gets very loud if you OC though (+120% ) in games like witcher and Kingdom Come.

    Used a GTX 690 for 2 weeks...

    It does ? I thought a 1050ti was around 780s performance?

Fallout 4 Performance driving me nuts

Put shadows to medium and lower the shadow draw distance. Shadows and lighting is a single threaded mess in that game, just that one change will give you the performance you're looking for.

Do I need extremely fast internet?

You can always throttle your connection at the wifi router for a few days just to test. If it's fine then drop down and save some money.

First Intel Core i7-9700K Review Surfaces

Yeah it's going to be an overclockers/gamers chip... definitely not meant for workstations IMO. That 4 FPS boost over the 6700K in Farcry 5 though... ooof. I wonder if the security mitigations are hurting it.

Editorial NVIDIA's 20-series Could be Segregated via Lack of RTX Capabilities in Lower-tier Cards

I don't know about that, i think their stock price would tank if they did that. They can just cram the chips down the throats of their board partners anyways since there is no competition from AMD.

Editorial NVIDIA's 20-series Could be Segregated via Lack of RTX Capabilities in Lower-tier Cards

of course, im referring to the lack or RTX as a segregator... as in... the inclusion of RTX is not worth the premium on the new cards at the moment.

Editorial NVIDIA's 20-series Could be Segregated via Lack of RTX Capabilities in Lower-tier Cards

honestly if they could release a 2080ti without ray tracing for $300-$400 less i would be all over that.

    How reliable IBT Gflops measurement?

Yeah it's better for intel processors... it's very reliable when comparing the same arch (i.e. sandy vs ivy vs haswell vs coffee) to each other, I just wouldnt use it for an intel vs AMD style comparison.

    Good 280mm radiator AiO?

https://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/8494/reeven-naia-240-cpu-cooler-review/index6.html this one beats out the nhd15 slightly and is really quiet... (not as quiet as the d15 but still very good). if you read the reviews around the web (including the TPU one) it actually competes with the 280s...

    Good 280mm radiator AiO?

the same can be said about aircoolers... which are great on a open test... but as soon as they're in a case they have to use hot air... At lease with a CLC you can use it as an intake and temps won't suffer. They dont make a 280 but the reeven naia 240 looks like an awesome cooler, and is...

PNY Reveals Their RTX 20-Series Lineup of Partner Graphics Cards

Mainly due to the fact that there is oversupply of older gen 1x cards due to the crypto dry up, and the fact that these prices are insanely high. So few games support ray tracing that a used 1080 might be the price/perf sweet spot for most ppl. Maybe the 2080ti wont fall, but the 2080 and 2070...
