@sneekypeet posted in this thread, I then PM'd him to post again, which he did, but I did not get any notification of a new post.

Finding, testing raight Linux for diferent pc.

I believe what you want to know is: Is there a way to load multiple versions of Linux on one USB drive and then test each of them out? I don't know, but Windows has nothing to do with this question. Maybe: http://www.zalman.com/contents/products/view.html?no=20

Sorry. I got an alert that you mentioned me in this thread and an e-mail that you replied to this thread. So I don't even see the double notification that the previous system would do - quotes and replies were separate alerts. But to test this as I think you're trying, I'd have to look at your...

Before I answer, I would like to know how this will work. Will it send out the notification that someone has replied to a thread and then merge?

 I'm thinking it should be more like 20 minutes, but I'm not a mod. I don't know what they see. 20 hours would still merge a morning and evening post together. How about 2 hours?

GTX 1070 Ti MSI aero blower vs INNO3D twin x2

Then buy a card that has been reviewed to be cool and quiet. I'm not trying to be snarky, but just pay the few € more and be done with it. w1zzard tested several....

Semi-passive GPU cooling feature : Yay or Nay :)

Keeping the fans off when not needed reduces dust build up on the GPU's heatsink as well.

I post the pie results for the WCG team everyday. Will this end up merging posts if I happen to be 1 minute under 24 hours? Or if I wait to post the previous day's results in the morning and then post today's results in the evening, they'll be merged? I can see "dummy" posts being used to...

    Folding Pie and Milestones!!

If you keep up your 600K PPD, it'll take me 3 months to catch you, which is about the time that I expect to be scaling back for the summer.

Semi-passive GPU cooling feature : Yay or Nay :)

Every single older Gigabyte GPU that I own has failing/failed fans. Every. Single. One! Secondly, you're only dealing with ~40 watts, so what's the big deal?

    TPU's F@H Team

Huh. Will you take a look at that? It's nice to see so many Folding again, along with a sighting of @BUCK NASTY ! I'm planning on adding my GTX 980 soon, so that should push me to about 1M PPD.

Gaming PC first time build need advice

Since they come in 1 or 2 TB capacities, I would think that would do for at least a while.

    Duff PSU?

IMHO, this is a heat issue, not a capacity issue. Something is getting warm, which is causing more resistance, which causes the crash. I'd check the 24 pin connector to see how warm it's getting under load. JG did have an issue of an incorrectly assembled PCI-e connector, so maybe you have...

    Forum upgrade complete

I like that we can now "like" in a conversation. Not sure how I feel about the lack of a dialog box when clicking on an individual post's number. I liked the click-copy-paste of the way it was.

    Intel Core i9-7900X 3.3 GHz

@W1zzard , I would love to see how this 3.3 GHz HEDT CPU does against the previous generations' 3.3 GHz HEDT CPU's going back to the i7-980. :D

What are some of your PC building pet peeves?

The little "fingers" on the I/O shield, that always bend the wrong way, that I don't discover until I've screwed in all 9 motherboard screws.
