    Can i use 2133mhz with 8700K or should i buy 2666mhz?

You said that you're not going to overclock your system. (I assume it's for stability requirements) That cooler will work for you at stock clocks and the cooler will fit your case.

That Cryorig Cooler will cool your CPU (8700K) at stock clock speeds.

I have the 6700K and a pair of 7700K chips too. I see a real boost in performance from one to the other. You will see even more going to the 8700K. The DDR4-2133 RAM will work fine for you, so go ahead and buy a better GPU. The 8700K is a lot faster than the 6700K using the same RAM.

No, I've just decided to use better cooling on the system. I have a 5960X system to build first, then I'll change the cooling on this. I would love to fold with this if temps were under control.

It runs benches without throttling, but if I use it to fold at home the temps really spike to 100C on three of the cores. (using RealTemp to measure things) As soon as I start folding the temp spikes are immediate. There is no slow or gradual raising of temps which would seem like it ~should~...

    GTX1070 / GTX1080(Ti) Owners Club [With Poll

Two Gigabyte G1-Gaming GTX-1070 in SLI, and two GTX-1080FE cards in SLI. Both sets throw down some great benchmark scores and gaming with them is buttery-smooth. What impresses me the most is the far lower power usage compared to my GTX-980Ti cards.

While my i9-7900X is the star around here, I recently put together an i7-7700K box too. I really like this thing because it's very smooth and powerful. Gaming is top notch with it.

OK, I got the board and CPU used, and the board was overclocking the CPU to 4.6GHz. with a lot of extra voltage. The system was stuck on 4.6GHz. and was being cooled fine until it was stressed. Then it got up to 100C right away on two cores. At this time, I was holding my hand right next to the...

Selectric,....... Wasn't that the one with the little steel balls with different typefaces on them? Change the ball and then you had a new font to work with. IBM made a shit-ton off of that idea.

I think I found my new monitor... but only on Amazon

I recently bought an LG 34" 34UM64-P Flatscreen from Newegg for 350 bucks. That was the price shipped to my home. It's a 1080P screen, 21:9 Ultrawide. I haven't hooked it up yet. I will once I get my i9-7900X system built.

System unresponsive at max RAM usage

Go to your settings and set a large chunk of your SSD (256GB, I think that you said) as the page file. Do not let the system manage it. Specify the size yourself. Set it to your preferred size minimum, and the same size maximum so the system always has it available. See if that helps
