Mystery AMD APU with 1,792 SP Shows Up on SANDRA Database

Shouldn't they be focusing on fixing the performance issues plaguing Ryzen and Vega/GCN? They haven't Ryzen's subpar gaming performance and Vega is a failure from an engineering standpoint.

AMD Ryzen 7 1800X Slashed to $319 on Newegg

Where I buy my stuff from, you can get an R7 1700x for less than a 7700k. It's interesting how AMD's products are always treated like second tear stuff, even by AMD themselves. You've got an 8-core CPU that's selling for less than a 4-core CPU from Intel. How long has it been since AMD's...

DICE Revamps Star Wars Battlefront II's Loot Crate Mechanics

Is Start Wars Battlefront any good? I didn't like Battlefield 1. I need an online FPS to play I'm kinda torn between this game and Destiny 2.

    Datamancer Diviner Keyboard

Nobody's interested in this keyboard! Who's gonna pay $500 for a keyboard?

Eight NVMe Drives RAIDed on AMD X399 Break the 28 GB/s Barrier

Impressive my a**. X399 motherboards are way overpriced for what the Ryzen platform offers in terms of overclockability and USB/SATA/M.2 performance, compared to Intel.

MSI Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon AC and Z370 GODLIKE Gaming Launched

what's so god-like about this motherboard? What a lame name for a motherboard.

NVIDIA Bundles Middle Earth: Shadow of War with GeForce GTX 1080 and GTX 1080 Ti

I didn't like the first Middle Earth game and this one is purportedly worse.

Raja Koduri On a Sabbatical from RTG till December, AMD CEO Takes Over

He's leaving on his own because he knows that he's the least qualified person in that company to hold that position.

Raja Koduri On a Sabbatical from RTG till December, AMD CEO Takes Over

Good riddance! Whoever hired him should be fired too, along with low-energy Lisa.

Intel Core "Coffee Lake" Desktop Processors Launch Date Revealed

I will have to disagree with you on that bit. Look, the Ryzen 1600 is gonna be noticeably worse than the i5 8400 in single threaded tests, and it will have performance issues caused by its much slower L3 cache and memory subsystems, in addition to slower thread migration across CCX cores and TLB...

Zen Meeting Vega in AMD "Raven Ridge" APU Confirmed

At least we'll get to see how a true 4-core Ryzen performs with these APU chips.

AMD's RX Vega Launch Prices Might be Just Smoke and Mirrors

AMD is a joke and their graphics division is run by a joke. Vega is a disaster any way you look at it. They haven't made any tangible improvements to their graphics IP since GCN came out back in 2012. Their Chinese design team sucks and they've got nothing going for them. Jim Keller and most of...

NVIDIA Announces Financial Results for Second Quarter Fiscal 2018

$2.23 billions in revenue is no small feat. Well done Nvidia! They have qualified people at the top running things and making smart decisions.

Intel "Coffee Lake" Platform Detailed - 24 PCIe Lanes from the Chipset

I don't need all these USB 3.1 ports and M.2 connections? Most mice and keyboards still use USB 2.0 connectors. System I/O performance on Intel platforms is always top notch, compared to AMD, but heck it doesn't make much difference in every-day usage. I mostly play Indie games and HoTS these...

AMD RX Vega 56 Benchmarks Leaked - An (Unverified) GTX 1070 Killer

Too little too late! The GTX1070 uses cheap GDDR5 memory and is based on a much smaller chip that is a whole year older. It doesn't matter at this point. Volta should be around the corner, with GDDR6 and definite performance upgrade over Pascal, Vega is DOA.

AMD Says Vega Delays Necessary to Increase Stock for Gamers

After GCN was finalized back in 2012 by their entirely Canadian design team, AMD has outsourced pretty much all of their graphics IP design to China. No wonder their graphics chips haven't improved in any noticeable way since GCN1.

AMD Says Vega Delays Necessary to Increase Stock for Gamers

I don't buy this one bit. Where was it we read that a couple of 4GB HBM2 chips from Hynix cost somewhere around $150? They don't have enough HBM chips in stock and they can't afford to spend much money on buying these chips. They don't even want to release Vega, because it won't make any money...

AMD Announces the Radeon RX Vega Nano

Sweeny is a Nvidia guy; why did they invite him? How low is that company gonna sink? Also, how many presentations are we gonna get before they release their overhyped under-performing late product?

AMD Announces the Ryzen 3 Series Desktop Processors

That's right! Not everyone needs a core i7, but almost everyone needs a quad core processor these days. That's why you have the i5s. A used i5 from Ebay (or Kijiji), is a far better option for those who are looking to have decent CPU performance with an IGP for casual indie gaming for less than...

AMD Announces the Ryzen 3 Series Desktop Processors

You're better off buying a used 6500 or 6600/k for that much money. You get an IGP, much better CPU performance, and better peripheral performance. The R3 lineup is a total waste.

AMD Announces the Ryzen 3 Series Desktop Processors

It's not priced competitively, being overall on par or slower than the Pentium G4560, and it lacks an IGP, which makes it useless for HTPC builds. People were expecting true quad cores without all the cross-CCX latency issues.

AMD Announces the Ryzen 3 Series Desktop Processors

So the new 1300 and 1200 parts are still harvested 2-CCX chips with the extra issue of not supporting high RAM frequencies. Wow... I would expect nothing less from AMD; a truly useless product! It's well known that cross-CCX latency is the main culprit behind Ryzen's poor performance in gaming...

AMD RX Vega First Pricing Information Leaked in Sweden - "Feels Wrong"

Everything about Vega feels wrong. It's a terrible chip, from an engineering standpoint and if it's priced as badly as the early rumors suggest, then we have ourselves another 2900XT FTF.

AMD Reports Second Quarter 2017 Financial Results

Ryzen CPUs are priced terribly. Mostly because they suck at gaming workloads (muh 8-core CPUs for gaming), but also because some of the CPUs aren't priced apart well, like the 6 and 4 core ones. I mean they're selling their 4C/8T CPU for less than the 6600k. How do you expect them to make money...
