"The AMD A10-6800K Black Edition in some ways is all the CPU you will ever need. With 4 cores and a stock speed of 4.10GHz, which automatically turbo's upto 4.40GHz when required, this CPU can handle anything you throw at it. Even more impressive is the overclocking ability of these processors with some reaching near and over 5GHz on air cooling.

The main and best feature of the A10-6800k is the onboard IGP, the HD 8670D which is equivalent in gaming performance to a HD 7750 and can actually play any game including the latest titles with moderate quality settings. In our own testing Borderlands 2 at 1920x1080 with all details on medium/maximum was more than playable, with smooth frame rates. However it is very important with the FM2 platform to use high speed memory as the onboard IGP gets a serious performance boost with faster memory upto 2400MHz.

For those who require more graphics performance, adding a HD 6670 / HD 7750 to the mix will enable Hybrid Crossfire giving upto approx 80% additional performance in modern gaming titles, making this new platform viable for entry level gaming machines that can play the latest gaming titles.

Features:-
- Blazing fast computing from 384 AMD Radeon™ cores 2.0 featuring DirectX® 11 capable graphics.
- Immerse yourself in the awe of AMD HD3D gaming.
- Unlock all the control and performance of the 2nd generation AMD A-Series Processor when you select the overclockable Black Edition.
- Eyeinfinity Support (Upto 3 monitors)
- World class APU designed for amazing graphics, gaming and compute performance.
- Up to 779 GFLOPS of compute performance
- Up to 10% performance increase in 3D Graphics over AMD Trinity

Specification:-
- 4 cores (Quad Core technology)
- 4.10GHz Stock speed
- 4.40GHz Turbo speed
- 4MB Cache
- Multiplier Unlocked (Great for overclocking)
- 100W TDP
- Onboard IGP: HD 8670D, 844MHz Core speed, 384 Stream Processors
- Hybrid Crossfire Capable with HD 6670 / HD 7750
- 3yr Warranty"

Need meh some extensive tests on these...

Also, the fact that AMD priced them higher than their predecessors is in some ways a good thing... IMHO, it shows that they're doing quite well in that segment and think they can increase profits even more with this tactic.

Unfortunately that performance is very spotty. They could have improved since when the charts below were made, but I don't know.

I wish w1z would do an in depth review on this stuff.

Well dual cards is always bad-ish. Since alot of devs do not care about crossfire and sli.
And yes I would also like to see TPU review of A10 6800k and 7750 CF with it.

RCoon, any info on what RAM was used in the comparisson? I'm guessing 2133MHz DC for 6800K and 1866MHz DC for the 5800K, as those ar their native supported speeds. I'd imagine if 6800K overclocks better (1200MHz+), you should see good gains from even 2666MHz RAM tho.

I believe the same speed RAM was used for both benchmarks to accurately compare, both at 1866mhz

Does anybody know if this richland is quad channel memory? I read somewhere AMD was going to bring that & a L3 cashe. Why is I7-4770K reduced to dual channel when Ivy I7-3770k was quad? Thanx

Same as 5800K

Neg, quad channel is over rated. Little is any performance gain to tell you the truth....

Only socket 2011 with Ivy and Sandy Extreme proessors use quad channel. LGA 1155 with Ivy standard uses dual channel.

We are interested in the 7750 dual gfx benchies not the standalone apu afaik ;)

@cadaveca Specifically because I may have use for my 7750 instead of gathering dust, but theoretically it should be around a 7790 right?

Oh. With the 7750. I get it. I've had my brain buried in Haswell board reviews, come up for air, and wondered if I missed something. I guess I wasn't the one that missed something, however. :p
