As many people can attest, Corsair RAMs are problematic with Ryzen it looks like.
I'd recommend Gigabyte AORUS RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory (GP-AR36C18S8K2HU416R) - PCPartPicker since this kit aesthetically matches with ASUS ROG motherboards.

Maybe stick with ASUS GPU since controlling RGB's gonna be a headache. ASUS products at least work with Corsair's iCUE. In that case, the Aorus RAM might be a problematic too.

And if you don't want to deal with RGB headache, unless you turn them off (which also needs software) you'll be stuck with color cycle rainbow puke.

I typically turn off all RGB's but point noted on the Gigabyte front. I wasn't aware of the problems Corsair have been having.

thanks Khonjel.

I did notice you've selected 3600MHz RAM. My understanding is that there is a limitation with the Ryzen 5800, which can only handle up to 3200. Is this correct?

No. 3200's the highest JEDEC, which is what Vermeer's officially rated for.
Depending on your luck in the silicon lottery, you can go up to 4000 on 1:1, but that is rather rare. 3600 or 3800 should be more realistic.

Nah. That was Ryzen 3000 series. IIRC Ryzen 5000 series can go up to 4000 Mhz without losing 1:1 FCLK.

I was originally supposed to get ASUS B450 Strix-F and the previous AORUS RGB RAM kit (3200 Mhz and silver finish) and kit it out like this:

But alas! Both of them were stock out when I bought parts for my upgrade.

Would you mind providing your thoughts on why you'd change out the cpu cooler and case?

^ what I would run.
I didn't include the SSD since you already own that, nor the GPU given the volatility of said market.
This is almost GBP 1,200, so it'd leave you ~800 for the GPU.

Any specific reason for chosing this motherboard over the other?

I've read that the Noctua is a great cooler - its just a shame its so ugly!

You're using an old SATA SSD. (Mind you, nothing wrong there.)
Ie, you're only using the x16 lanes for the GPU. All X570 does over B550 is give you additional lanes (that you're not using). (You still have the x4 for the first M.2, at Gen 4 and an additional x4 at Gen 3, just in case.)

As for the cooler, I put a steel panel case in the build (since you're going RGBless anyways), unless you insist on a glass panel (poinless imho, esp if you don't like RGB) you'd not see the cooler to begin with?

EDIT: Just realised the Meshify 2 has a Type C frontpanel port but the TUF-B550+ doesn't have the header.
Just buy something like this: https://www.amazon.com/MZHOU-Computer-Mainboard-Adapter-Expansion/dp/B08N4LQJJN (Costs $12) and you should be set.

i havent change the case. i think bequite are overpriced for what they offer but if this is what you like it will do the job. seeing the price of it i'd definitely would check other brands as you may save some money without compromising functionality (a lot of reviews here )

things i've changed:
cooler - if you check performance summary https://www.techpowerup.com/review/zalman-cnps10x-performa-black-cpu-air-cooler/9.html you'll see deepcool offer performance similar to corsair units at lower price (see review here)

psu - seasonic is better.

ram - some corsair ram had problems with 1st gen ryzens. it was acknowledged by corsair but there wasnt official confirmation it is solved or any info regarding affected models ect. so i'd avoid corsair ram for ryzen build unless you are 100% sure you will get model number that is included in your mb ram qvl list. other reason is ram speed. ryzen performance is affected by ram speed. for 5000 ryzens sweet spot is 3600mhz (3800 or 4000 will depend on cpu binning). double check if you really need 32gb ram for the games you plan to play. may be you may get away with 16gb only.
