Yea the 2GB seems like a better deal than the 1GB. You shuldn't be buying a 6950/6970 if you aren't gaming at at least 1920x1080, and I know some games can take up 1200mb+ of Vram. Sure it isn't going to make much of a difference on most games, but it may make a little, and it will help futureproofing. Not to mention, resell value will be better

max a 6870 will do great at your res IMO get yourself one used at 200~215$ shipped an your gold
