1 month replacement board

Hi there guys.

I am sending in my Asus board for rma because the board is fucked.
Now i can get 2 boards from the store for replacement. 20 euro each.(board only with one month waranty.)

One is Asus A8N-SLI skt939 and the other the Asus A8V Deluxe ⁄ SE skt939.
Which board should i go for?

That's what thought to. This is my first Asus board so did not excactly which one to pick.
I hope that they don't fix the board i'm sending in. Do you know how they do it with rma?

The A8v Deluxe is AGP? in any case without a doubt I would go for the A8N-SLi, one because you have the sli option for the future should you want it but more importantly in my opinion, from what I can see the A8n is NF4 and the A8V is via K8T800pro and the reviews I have just read suggest that the NF4 is the faster, just my opinion. Maybe I was looking at the spec for an earlier S939 A8V delux but it was def AGP where as the A8N is PCI-E.

I am sorry it was the Asus A8N-E skt939. I copyed the wrong one.
And the board is only untill i get my A8R32-MVP-Deluxe crossfire back.

Ahhh the last revision...prefixed E was PCI-E but have just read a review on the delux and it was not great, some memory problems and some scope for overclocking but not all that great, it's here:

Isn't asus.nl in Emmen? Can't you just bring it in and pick it up, might save some time. I know from experience that these people fuck up with their mail (they managed to lose my board)

Maybe that is a good idea. Emmen is not so far from wher i live. Do you really think it saves time? Or do you just don't trust them anymore.

On the other hand, if i rma the board it will go via Perfect systems here in Enschede.
So if the board get's lost they have to give me a new one.

Do you know if they try to fix the board or do they give you a new board?

I know it's not far from you, that's why I suggested it. I have a slight understanding of what your country looks like

Shipment takes 1-4 days on average. Both ways. Add the time the store takes to that. Plus if you drop it off yourself and they lose it it's their problem as well. (they gave me a new board when I gave them the TPG receipt which said it was delivered at their place)

Personally I prefer to be in direct contact with the other party as well, if anything takes longer than expected the store will just tell you it's Asus period.

And it's true that I don't trust Asus as well, bastards they are

On the other hand your board might be replaced a lot faster since they won't have to get it fom another planet, my PC-DL wasn't exactly the kind of stuff they had lying around.
