1002:6740 103c:3388 - ATI Whistler XT RADEON HD6770M 1Gb - flashing Issues [atiflash]

Hi, i haven´t been able to locate the BIOS for 1002:6740 103c:3388, i'm trying a bios flash with some 1002:6740 for the TPU database (Apple device, dell device and others), but is not working... i need the HP - DV6 related to 103c:3388.

i did the -biosfileinfo (rom.bin), and it answers "BIOS P/N not found". i did try with at least 6 different Atiflash versions. and in the last 2 ones (417 & 411) don't even recognize the card, the test fails.

in each test i did unlock and force the write procedure, but always fails.
in each test the -i and the -ai works, and recognize the adapter in the pcie 0.

i'm using the USB + Win98 boot files method to do the atiflash write procedure.

all times i try atiflash -f -p 0 rom.bin, i get a ERROR 0FL01. tried in the 6 different version fo Atiflash. in every attempt i use prior the command with atiflash -unlockrom 0

So, the first think i want to try is using an extraction from a bios of my exact reference. if possible, if someone who read this, provide me such thing.

after that o during that, i am all ear for your suggestions.

why are you trying to flash the bios I gotta ask it sounds like the mac is using a different board
atiflash is bombing to prevent you from bricking it

hahaha , you are rigth, but i've already semi-brick it, i am just trying a roll back to what it was... now even in windows doesn't work.

or, well i think it is semi-bricked, hope so, could be totaly bricked now.

yes, probably... but hope, is the last thing to lose!!

give me the output of atiflash -i and atiflash -ai
you can try
atiflash -p bios.bin -f -fa -fm -fs -fp
be warned if you have the incorrect bios selected you will end up permabricking the card with a black screen

Ok, i'm seeking the correct BIOS. i'll back to you as soon as I get an appropriate one.

Hi, I know this is an old post but did you get the bios for the HD6770M? And what was your end result??

I also have a HP with the same AMD card but can't find the bios anywhere!!

Question, does yours have 2 gpu's? Because I also have the Intel HD3000, and it's PCU Bus is 0 and the ATI card is Bus 1 so your command line should be: "atiflash -f -p 1 rom.bin"

If you read this can you let me know any info you have regarding this.

Blind flashing? And by what do you mean by if the hardware is accessible? Sorry, I am new to this but am a fast learner

Blind flash is when you don't see the image on the monitor, but you input the same commands as you would otherwise if you can see the screen with atiflash on it. You just have to know the correct input sequence of "menus" and commands. You can also prepare an autoexec that automatically flashes specified BIOS when you boot the system with prepared USB drive.

With "hardware accesible", it means that sometimes graphic card still boots up and can be flashed even if you don't see the image. Sometimes it can be totally dead and you can't even blind flash it.
