1080ti cooling question

Hey all. I recently acquired 2 1080ti Founder's Edition from a guy friend's workplace at a really good price. About 20% lower than MSRP. Before anyone asks, no, I can't get that deal for anyone else. Lol Anyways, the 1080tis replaced my last 2 Kepler Titans. The Titans are clocking in at around 80-85 degrees on full load and have ran that way in my workstation since they were first released. The 1080tis also run at the same temperature, however, the noise is quieter to my ears. My question is, if for some reason I wanted to upgrade the cooling is there any dedicated aftermarket air coolers available? Don't need water cooling. No over clocking the gpu for me.

Bearing in mind any addition of an aftermarket air cooler will increase the cards size from 2 slot to at least 2.5 slots, I believe Arctic Accelero and Gelid Solutions may be the answer if they make one compatible with your reference card (or the reference 1080).
I'm not sure they will aid with any heat issues as they blow directly in to the case and not externally as the reference card attempts to, you also have less spacing for air flow due to increased size.
Is there any possibility you can increase air flow through the case , or utilize larger case fans?

No not at the moment, i would say give it a few more months and there will be aftermarket coolers you can buy.

I think everything is flowing well as is. Was just curious if there were any options. I'm content with temps.

Another option could be to obtain and fit a cooler from a manufacturer that uses the reference PCB, such as MSI, Gigabyte etc, if you ever decide to modify your cards for increased cooling.
Changing the thermal paste on them also helps drop temps, sometimes up to 10C under load.

Could ramp up fan speed in the driver setting manually if the noise doesn't bother you.

it comes down to noise.. the default fan profile wont be running the fans flat out.. 80 C is okay and is chosen my the makers to keep fan noise down.. if you manually set the fans to run flat out that will give you an idea of maximum cooling and maximum noise..

good after market coolers (bigger) will provide good cooling without too much fan noise..

My single 1080ti ran fine (not too bad at all really) with the stock FE cooler but after gaming it dropped to a shade under 1700Mhz. Under water with no overclocking it maintained above 1800mhz. Run overclocked with low rpm, zero noise fans at 2Ghz constant now.
Water is not the simplest route but it has the greatest sound/performance pay off.
