1080ti vs 2070 super worth upgrade? or a downgrade is better option?

theres used zotac extreme 2070s with decent price $440, i know ive wasting too much for a card but couldnt be helped, my finger feel ichi to click order again, quick question it is worth a bucks? or should i safe for other pc peripheral, i condiser swap board to taichi aswell, or maybe a new powerfull psu thx, honestly i think i should downgrade instead upgrade, becouse my new cpu is beast, it can handle my curent yakuza 2 80-90fps so speak of 75hz smooth, which card should i keep & which one to be drop, i think i will keep vega 64, and sold the rest, so upgrade or downgrade? lemme hear your opinion guys

only if you really want rtx, it's a little slower then to 1080ti and has less ram otherwise then the 1080ti, i think you should go for a psu first if you're feeling the order itch.

make sense, anyway look at my rig, whats upgrade needed for better performance

ram: klevv dual 8gb 3000mhz cl16

psu: be quite system u9 500 & thermaltake smart 1200w ex miner

board: a320 biostar, b350 pc mate

a waterblock maybe? i never used that before, my friend told me a vega 64 extreme ocing with waterblock 50c can reach 2070 fe performance, really inpreesive if it is true

It all depends what aib versions were talking about.
I got a new 2070 super trio for my used ex mining 1080ti trio and got two games but as I imagine there's situations where it would be better to stick to 1080ti

If I were you I would get a good B450 or even better an X470 motherboard and OC the 2600 to 4 GHz and possibly OC your 3000 RAM to 3200 or 3333.
That way you will get the most out of your new 2600 and in a few years when you feel like you want / need more performance you can just get a Ryzen 3700x (or if the prices drop by then a 3900x).

I have a 2600 on an Asus ROG Strix B450-F that I run OC'd to 4 GHz with 16GB's of 3200 G.Skill TridentZ RAM running at 3400 with a GTX 1660 Ti and it performs very well.
I even ran my newer 3700x in that rig before I built my new Asus ROG X4780-F / RTX 2060 Super rig.

For gaming there is nothing worth really upgrading from 1080Ti unless you hammer for every 2 FPS more and there is RTX support. Major downside is limited memory. 11GB vs 8 GB is big deal in AAA titles and... especially...

If you want to do work with card. Don't, under any circumstances buy 2070(S) for CUDA rendering when you have 1080Ti. You lose tons of CUDA cores (most important thing when rendering in CUDA) and you losing 3 GB of VRAM which is massive for basically any scene you may do.

With series 3000 looming on the horizon it's waste of money upgrading now, ~6 months before new architecture is on the shelves.

It's still the same Skylake from 2015 with just MOAR CORES, higher clocks and 14nm+++++++++++++. Wouldn't call Ryzen 3000 series obsolete..

I don't buy into paying for smaller node cause it's a smaller node
intel is still faster and cooler for gaming even on 9th gen.

I don't really want to go into unreleased products, but yeah, the next 10 series will probably be good. You can kinda extrapolate i3 from 7700 and i5 from 8700, but AMD is releasing 4000 series too. With the advantage of drop-in replacements. Is Intel keeping the same socket for next gen?
More importantly, can't we all be happy that we have choices now and can buy a good CPU from either brand?
