12V DC from PSU

Hey, is it possible to get 12V DC from my PSU? I assume I can get it from a 4 pin molex by cannibalizing a molex to 3 pin fan, cutting off the fan header, and connecting the black and red wire to the 12v LED node I'm getting, is this correct? Thanks.

No need for cannibalization, just use one of these:

There's 5v on a molex to 3 pin fan connector?

Not sure, there should not be as fans are 12v. On a fan, there is 12v(yellow) ground(black) and the sensor wire which could be red.

Just use a molex to get your 12v using yellow for +12v and black for ground. I have tapped 12v off molexes loads of times.

So if I'm not wrong, I could get this, cut the fan header off and use the black and red wire to power something that needs 12v?
