PowerColor is ready with its in-house design for the upcoming AMD Radeon HD 6800 series, branded with the company's PCS (professional cooling system) moniker. The card, almost every PCS card, has a red-colored PCB, with a custom-design cooling solution that makes use of a centralized GPU fan-heatsink. Although the exact model of the card pictured below is embargoed, it's easy to guess that it's the HD 6850, because it's missing one 6-pin power input. In all likelihood, this card will be overclocked out of the box, when it releases later this week.

 that card makes me think batmobile way more than the 5xxx blower cooler.

Asus version looks better :p

I think this card looks pretty dope!

I like it and in all probability would never hear it ;)

that's real sweet lookin'! Now only to wait until performances are known....

is that just me or are gfx manufacturers going a little overboard with fan shroud designs these days...

When it comes to cards with the same chip and speeds, perferably price as well then looks can be a big decider as to who gets someones money... or at least mine if the looks are part of good cooling

judging from the "shorter" length of the card and the location of the 6-pin power, it should be a 6850.

Excuse my geekiness.. but that is teh sexeh!

IMO the reference card looks a lot better. This one had better be far quieter or cooler

Looks meh will likely preform even more meh.

I actually like the stock cooler on these, I think it looks pretty sweet. This one I think looks pretty cheap, and I don't wanna say ugly but it kinda is.

Looks like the Keaton batmobile for sure. I think it looks awesome.

looks pretty cool, but i get the feeling that like the 5850 and 5870, the reference design cooling should be more than enough, and quiet too, leaving lots of room to tweak your fan profile :)

Especially if these are even more efficient than those models. If they get too much more efficient they might actually break thermodynamic laws and cool your room!

Yep, for me the cooler has to exhaust out the back of the case. Not a lot of thermal capacity in my case, so these ones that dump the hot air in the case are out.

I think you are right, even more so with the vrms being on the other side of the core for the 6870, to me the only major reason to not use the stock cooler on a 4, 5 or 6870 is the fact the vrms got so toasty sitting under the blower fan, being swapped to the other side should mean they run much cooler.
If choose a 6970 as long as the vrm's are on the other side of the core i will happly consider using the stock cooler as assuming it looks like the ones for the 6870 it will look great.
