I don't see any reason to overpay for K and Z besides just "having it". I doubt there would be NOTICEABLE performance difference without a benchmarks. Both a high-end CPUs. Also, I doubt you will get REASONABLE OC, so having overpriced Z mobo is also "a question". Perhaps, for better RAM speed compatibility, but, again, it's all measured with benchmarks, I doubt you would say about your potential system with 13700F and 5600.28 ram that it's "sluggish" lol.

if question about DDR4-3200 and ANY DDR5 then OK. But, just put any DDR5 and stop being fan of that AIDA64 AAA game.

$500 is reasonable money to just "waste". $100-150 difference on this price-breakdown is acceptable overpaying lmfao
If tuned you could get a boost of over 20%, that will be noticeable in certain games when CPU-limited which can happend on even mid range GPUs if you use DLSS etc. A bit difference no, but it can be noticable.

will i need AIO if i set 13700 to 219w/219w power settings and will selected board allow it?
I don't think you can run that cpu like that tmk. If you do want to push the PL on that cpu than yes you will need a min. 360 AIO. If you don't push that cpu ... and no reason to tbh then a solid air cooler such as the DeepCool AK620, be quiet dark rock pro 4 or the Noctua NH D15 will work fine.

in this review you posted: https://www.techspot.com/review/2391-intel-core-i7-12700/

they say this:
Now, whereas the default power mode for K-SKU CPUs sees them maintain the maximum turbo power or PL2 state indefinitely (PL1 = PL2), the locked processors like the Core i7-12700 work as previous generations have, that means PL2 is a temporary boost state and after a certain period the CPU drops to PL1, which in the case of the 12700 is 65 watts.

This is a bit complex and messy, that's anything but consumer friendly. Intel fixed this for the K-SKUs, but the locked parts are all over the place. For example, if you install the 12700 on any Z690 motherboard with the exception of entry-level models from Asrock, it will run in the PL2 state indefinitely, despite the fact that it's a locked part. This can also happen on some B660, H670 and H610 boards. For example, the MSI B660M Mortar WiFi DDR4 runs without power limits by default.

So if 13700 is same as 12700 it can run in PL2 state indefinitely (PL1 = PL2).

I would use air cooling for now and run some benches. I remember the Asrock boards that allowed for BLK O/C and the most it got peeps was an extra 3 - 5 FPS.

Arctic liquid freezer ll 420 AIO is 20eur more than NH-D15s. but main problem is if i go with Noctua i will use medium sized case but with AIO i will go big case so incase Noctua cannot handle it i will need to swap it for 360 AIO

These are pre-built. They are not going to price them within $150 of each other lmfao!

z chipset also provides more usb and sata ports, etc.

how many usb and sata you will really need. I'm too crazy about these things but I think I'm too old that's why I concentrate on these too much, but in real life I doubt many people using more than 4 SATA ports and use more than 6 back USB ports lol

to give alittle update:

i decided to wait for this Deepcool Assassin 4 that was showcased at CES becouse manufacturer claims TDP 280W thus if im correct it may be capable of handling 13700K
I'm interested in seeing the reviews on that cooler.

I'd go for 13700, Ocing is kinda pointless unless you are doing extreme OC benching, the 13700 will be MORE then fast enough for the next decade. Save the money, spend it on something else or dont spend the extra at all.

So should i go with 64GB 5600mhz CL28 or 64GB 6000mhz CL30 with 13700 or witch ones will be more sure to work at listed frequency and timings?

my issue with 13700KF is that it needs 360 AIO or better to cool it.
No it doesn't. Just use a NHD15S, turn the clock down slightly, undervolt it. 13700 isn't much different from the 12900KS and I have mine on air with no issues. A high airflow case helps a lot, so get something large and well ventilated. I'd suggest O11 Dynamic Evo with mesh front panel option.

What are you doing with the system to need more than 32GB? Scientific computing would benefit from the ram but if just gaming, basic video compiling, and general office use, there is probably no point to that much memory. I'd suggest 2x16GB 6000 C36.

32GB is more than plenty. There is no way in hell you'd need more than that.

I don't know how much control you have over undervolt, underclock with 13700. You can probably set power limit on the13700KF in ways you cannot with the 13700. You would have an igpu with the 13700. Hard to tell what would be better for you between the two. 13700KF gives you more options. I like having the igpu personally but you might never need it. The price of the two is probably the same. I'd be tempted to just buy the 13700K (not F), especially if you already budgeted a silly amount to ram you don't need.

Update:
im currently having a dillema while id like to buy Cooler Master HAF 700, but this case design(low CPU cooler clerance) is kinda forcing me to go with AIO cooling so im having a second toughts on 13700+B760 combo considering if i go with stated case i will get 420 AIO.
