This is why I was rocking 3 seperate windows 7 installs until recently. I'm happy with my system's stability in windows.

Still I occasionally have to boot into 32 bit win7 to run seatools or something. Maybe I should install it again.. just in case.

I have seen and experienced it a few times and yes on clean installs it has not been right from the get go, tbh now when it happens I spend maybe an hour or so of troubleshooting when it does happen to no avail to reload Windows again and voila all is well. Again I have seen this on everything from 98 (possibly even 95 though if that was to f**k up you usually wouldn't finish the installation) to 7. Just because it hasn't happened to you does not mean it does not happen....

Yeah In my case I install the drivers and stuff like programs, configurations, etc (my data is on a partition), then I do a cleanup of registry and hard disk, a defrag, then I make a compressed image with Ghost or any other software and save it on a partition or second HD..

Whenever the system corrupts, becomes slow or something, I will recover from the image

Anyway I will install a second instance of Windows in my 100GB partition which is empty just in case

Lets hope Evolved won't have to resort to this :toast:
