1600p VS 1440p (16:9) vs (16:10) dell m6700 dosent have 1200p

The bottom line is this; the game itself is a virtual 3d level> virtual field of vision and going to 1080 from 1200 you are viewing less of that window into the virtual area of view its like adding more inches to your houses window to view more of outside. Only games made with resolutions textures under 1080p maybe games made with 720p or 540p(1090i) would actually benefit from 9:16. Im actually about to take on a HUGH project upgrading my dell M6600 workstation with a nvidia m680 and a dell m6500 1200p monitor(m6600 only come with 1080p) this will take me hours and hours trust me working on this project I know oooo to well how better 1200p is then 1080p. further more when 1440p Blu-rays come out 1200p is actually the cropped resolutions of 1440p meaning cropped you will see all of the vertical lines 1440p [2.35:1]"theatrical view" has to offer. (much like 1080p at theatrical aspect is really only about 720p if you cut out the black bars. the quality of 1200p over 1080 is vary apparent 1080p has a differens of 230,400 pixels that is like adding a whole extra DVD video into your image vary big difference considering you didn't even have a full pupic when DVDs came out. Anybody even arguing that 1080p is better in anyway doesn't even understand resolutions at all and has no business shopping for a monitor for themselves or anybody else. we all need to boycott FHD and stick with WUXGA maybe when advance HD comes out 1440p then tarts will be arguing 1600p vs 1440p god it never ends with these people wasting time (i bet they listened to the sales rep and got screwed now they are arguing their mistake

P.S. 1200p for life 1080p makes me sick (i know vary nerdy but true) the notebook companys are going BACKWARDS in technology and quality.

PS PS also i was so sickened by that guys 1080p is better argument i had to registered with this site not to let that bull crap be believed by anybody. dell has responded to this argument buy saying sorry we know its a money issue we know we know but the LCD company's will not make 1200p anymore.

I'm going to pretend I fully understood what you're saying (something about aspect ratio wars). 16:10 monitors are still being made, but they're made for a much smaller market (design professionals and the like) since the average buyer doesn't care that much or just thinks 16:9 is awesome because it's the home movie ratio and the like.

I prefer 16:10 and have been using that aspect ratio for almost a decade now. I am not bothered by the 16:9 and 4:3 boxing that occurs. You can also read my take on this.
