Antec finally released a new flagship PSU: the High Current Pro Platinum 1000W. The previous generation HCP-1200 was the favorite PSU of most extreme users and overclockers. Its outstanding performance helped to breal many records. Now the new HCP-1000 has to carry on the tradition and prove its worth.

Excellent review. One thing that really sets Delta from the rest is their incredible soldering. The last thing I want to see is my PSU burning down my expensive PC because the damn solder gave up and short-circuited something!

Any idea when a 1200w unit will be released? So far though this looks like it'll be my next PSU.

As I recall in another site's review of this PSU, it's the first time (ever? or in a very long time?) that Delta actually used their own fan.

yeap indeed. The HCP-1200 for instance used a Sanyo Denki fan (which are great fans, too).

If you have many memory modules installed in standby mode (S3) you will need a quite strong 5VSB. If you don't then even 2.5A at this rail are enough.
