Also, unlimited bandwidth would be a plus so I can just leave it on 24/7 while I game... and if any work with Netflix also a plus... as I have been subbed to Netflix over two years now on the same account, going overseas and having to cancel my account would kind of suck.

I've used PIA for a couple years with success for keeping my data encrypted as it traverses the web. Can't say I stream through it much anymore tho...but never has issues. Some users do claim to have speed issues but I don't. There are some other options as well...but from experience PIA has been solid and maintains good speeds when I increase the tunnel.encryption further than default.

Do some research into that and its competitors and you'll find what you're looking for.

I use PrivateInternetAccess currently, but I haven't been impressed with their speeds. Usually it tops out at about 20Mbps. Once my subscription is up I think I'm going to try Astrill, a friend has it and he gets almost his entire 150Mbps.

Any service that utilizes OpenVPN should fit the bill. TorGuard and PIA are decent low cost choices.

Thanks, looks like I am going to go with PIA, hopefully my USA Netflix account will work in Europe with this too.

You can always run a 1c/3.5GB GCE cloud server to act as a VPN and run whatever VPN service you want. Since encryption seems to be important, L2TP or OpenVPN probably are the best options. L2TP has the benefit of being supported on most major operating systems without the need for extra software unlike OpenVPN.

As far as speed goes. Does it not have to do with how close to the hub you are? I know PIA has many to offer. I am on the east coast of Canada so I use the offering from New Jersey. My provider is giving me 50 Mb per sec but with PIA I average around 48. (speed test).
Edit: Just logged on and I see multiple offerings from the Europe as well.

Distance, traffic saturation, anything in between you and the servers, and encryption levels all are a speed factor. I run higher than default encryption rates but still pull acceptable speeds most of the time.

Do you know that some payment systems were exposed to hacks and cyber-attacks? This article is about PayPal attack. So it’s a good idea using a vpn to pay bills. And not only to keep anonymity, but be secure from spam or personal information stealing. I can’t recommend any vpn, but I’ll give some advices. Do not trust any company that asks to remove money automatically from your bank account. I think you don’t want to give them the power to remove your money if they make a mistake. In addition, good vpn provider does not log any identifying info about you. This function guarantees total anonymity and security while online. And be ready to pay for services. Especially when you request such different functions.

for all the things you have mentioned it seems that it is a job of no ordinary free VPN only a paid VPN service can provide you the access to Netflix from outside the US considering the current VPN block by Netflix, only some VPN services are actually working on Netflix. and for all the other purposes only a reliable and a paid VPN service can help you with security and internet privacy.
