Hi,

Yesterday I installed my freezer pro 7 rev.2 onto my cpu and I struggled a bit I lifted it several times because I couldn't get the screw in the place and I noticed that the temps didn't drop (in HWmonitor). So which program should i trust?

With the stock cooler there was 10degrees margin left, now ~20. But the temps are higher in HWmonitor somehow.

Note**
I ran p95 v26.6 I believe. Overdrive showed a margin of ~20degrees left I hit the reset button ,booted into bios and it showed that the cpu temp was 53 degrees (celsius) and the hwmonitor at that same moment showed 70 (tmpin2)

Use AMD Overdrive to monitor the temps .
"Thermal Margin indicates how far the current operating temperature is below the
maximum operating temperature of the processor."

Initially trust the temp in BIOS

If it looks too high there it suggests you havent fitted the HSF correctly.

Dont expect miracles from the freezer 7

Yeah but it seems weird ,that HWmonitor reports that much of a different temps.

I made sure that everything is in place. The one thing that worried me is when I lifted up the whole heatsink accidentaly.
Edit:typo ,brain stopped working for a second.

You need to check that the "push pins" are still secure. You should be able to see the "arrowhead" clearly on the back of the motherboard. it is easy to dislodge one corner if you have nudged or pulled the HSF.

Check it again, it might not be seated correctly.
How did you apply the thermal paste?
Too much of TIM isn't good either.

I think you broke the TIM application
i would suggest you start again ( i know its a pain in the ..........)
Reapply your TIM attach your cooler (do not lift it after applying tim and placing it onto CPU )
