Whats the best 1060 version to get?

As title says i am planning to get a 1060 but i am having serious troubles choosing one

I wanted to go with Gigabyte G1 Gaming (as i currently own a Gigabyte 660Ti Windforce OC and never had a problem with it) but lots of users are reporting coil whine and fans problems so not sure if its worth the risk to get it

The alternatives list is:

ASUS STRIX is too long for my Zalman Z11 Plus (also too expensive)

MSI Gaming is expensive aswell (also that red really doesnt fit in my case) but seems to be the best 1060 out there with no problems

ASUS DUAL and MSI ARMOR for some obscure reasons there are no reviews about them (which sounds weird to me)

MSI 6GT and ZOTAC AMP! get too hot

Palit Dual seems too simple/cheap

So MSI Gaming looks like the best soluton but i'd like to know your opinion or if you got some other suggestion based on personal experience, thanks in advance

I've also got the 1060 Gaming X and it's great. It's absolutely whisper quiet even though it's next to my ear (at 50% fan speed). Temps are always hot in my room, but mine only peaks at 58C after playing Black Ops 3 for 2 hours straight. OC'd stable at +168 MHz on both the core and memory with power limit set in Afterburner to 108%.
The price is a little steep yes, but the quality is by far the best.

any of the 6gb cards with 2 fans should be fine. theres not going to be a whole lot of difference in that selection. especially when you start playing around in afterburner ( or whatever came with your card).

i'd second looking for an evga.

Take the MSI Gaming for the higher clocks and the backplate!

Then your only other choice is zotac maybe. Asus/Msi too expensive, evga w/ 2 fans not for sale, yeah that's it.

1-Year (will be extended for the lifetime of the original purchaser upon completion of a registration form on PNY's website)

PNY has been good for my current Nvidia 770. Almost 3 years, no problems. I've done a lot of gaming on it and its the most reliable part of my system.

Seemed to be quality build, it had more power phases than the reference, heatsinks on the ram and vrms, a hefty OC.


If you can't find a 2 fan model you like don't be afraid to get a 1 fan model that reviews better and/or is cheaper, you can always buy a different heatsink for it.

I was seriously considering the MSI Gaming but today its price increased 20€ so i gave up, also its very large i am not it would be good for my case airflow.... but if the G1 Gaming will fail i will consider it again
