jesus, why buy 2 1080s $2500? looks pretty good, but I would look for some cheaper videocards. personally i would do 1 1080, but considering the build maybe 1 titan if your willing to drop that cash. also, the SLI HB bridges are kinda useless, read this https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GeForce_GTX_1080_SLI/23.html if you choose SLI just use a regular bridge.

OP you might want to do a little Googling on upcoming AAA games that won't have SLI support. I saw a list a while back and can't remember all of them but it was quite a few. Maybe grab a single 1080 for now and sell it later and buy a 1080 Ti or Vega 10 in a few months or just stick with your two 780 Ti for now. That's a lot of money you are looking to spend on two 1080s.

That SSD is way too expensive rather buy a normal SSD with 1tb space for that price. A 850 evo for example.

Gpus and cpu are too expensive I guess Australia is very expensive. If you're a gamer the 8 cores are not worth it, rather take a 6 core (tops for any usefulness with future in mind). And I would personally replace Gpus with 1x titan XP but that's something you must know. If you want to stay with 1080s take at least a better brand, evga/asus/Msi - gigabyte is lower quality.

It's a pitty Aus is so expensive ahah

I would consider a titan but I can't find anywhere near me or even any trusted site in Aus that sells it. I thought gigabyte was a fairly trusted brand? what issues do gigabyte cards have?

You must buy the titan x directly from nvidias website that's why you didn't find it. This time around its a "special thing".

Gigabyte has issues with their fans they make strange noise when starting - some of the cards not all. Also they are not exactly the quietest around. I'd probably take 2x Msi gaming (x) 8g or evga ssc if I'd buy 1080s. 2x fans over 3x fans cards. Less noise same performance.

Been having a lot of issues issues with the mobo and one of my 780 Ti's, figured I'd replace em. Sorry about the double thread, didn't realise I was suppose to update the old thread rather than make a new one.
