Nvidia GTX 1080Ti on its way to an outlet near you.

The GTX1080Ti is on its way and we know it has a minimum of 300+ shaders added. the biggest question for me is will it use the new DDR5X memory like the TitanX.
According to this pic it does as the titan and ti have the same memory bandwidth.

What gets me is that the TXP uses a cut down GPU and this one will be cut down even further. Us PC gaming enthusiasts can't buy the full GPU at any price. :shadedshu:

Not as cut down as GTX 780 compared to 780Ti. It had 20% less CUDA that was unheard of. This is more like GTX 670 to 680, more or less insignificant.

And now to the BIG picture, and I mean the one above, Why is it 5000 pixels in height, I have 4K2K display and I had to scroll down FSF.

ANd yeah it is 384 GB/s VS 480 GB/s huge cut down 96 GB/s less.

we know it has a minimum of 300+ shaders added.

Components are not "added" but removed. Removing components is something that can be done post fab. Once fabbed nothing can be added afaik.

You can just buy a Quadro P6000

it has the fulle chip. the 6000 is also the price in euros €€€€€€€€€........

I think this is something that the forum software should do better, rather than relying on the poster to resize it. The old vB software did this just fine so I don't know why XF can't manage it. :ohwell:

That only tells me there will be TXP black edition. No cut downs and twice the price of TXP.

If this goes on then we gonna have to pay 2 grand for a Video card :O crap.

Not disputing that the 1080 Ti could be GDDR5 instead of GDDR5X VRAM but why would Nvidia do that. GDDR5X has been a standard now for 9 months.

Just one reason: more profit. Using the old mass produced ram instead of g5x. Problem is will the 60gb/s bandwidth increase compared to 1080 be enough for the 800 extra shaders? Barely I guess.

More likely, soft launch (announce release) Jan 2017, and actual availability Q2 2017. Not exactly what I'd call "on it's way" to the shelves. There may as well be a wait for most unless they have a LOT made for the launch, because it will likely sell well. That will largely depend on price/performance though.

Minimum memory speed rating for micron GDDR5X is 10Gbps.

8Gbps is GDDR5.

Sell it with GDDR5 then later on you have another product to sell with faster GDDR5X.
