Distorted screen and coloured pixels

hello friends

I'm using a AMD Radeon HD5430 GPU.Recently, I have installed GTA4 and clicked game icon,there was error "Pc ran into problem " . After this the next boot my whole screen is distorted it flashes black lines could red pixels and turns dark sometimes. These effects doesn't show up during booting , just after home screen these starts to appear and mouse pointer freezes.

Is there anything I can do to repair it or use coolent on top of sink as it is overheating ?

I suppose it's a laptop. brand and model?
Are you sure it's overheating?
Anyway it's best to use a stand with fans to cool a laptop during gaming or intensive tasks
