Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
Its ok. But most simply use the bios and stay away from software.

Like earthdog says, "tools" are good for testing & monitoring, but any cpu/Ram OC should be done via the Bios. If you havent gone into a bios for some time, you might find it has better interface than some modern utilities, some can be pretty decent

I use Bios as well, I just came across the utility thought it might be good, I also have AI suites from my MB cd, but everytime i use it it cranks up my voltage to high for the same cpe speed. like a 4.6 OC it put my voltage at 1.30v i can run 4.6 stable at 1.250v, 4.7 now, i cannot get to run stable under 1.30v ans still trying to get a stable 4.8 or 4.9, but intel says for my chip i should not exceed 1.35v

I use it to downclock the CPU on my gaming laptop, lowering the multipliers.
(so it runs cooler)

@EarthDog

Correct me if I'm wrong, with Intel Extreme Tuning Utility you can create different OC profiles and save it but the thing is when switching from one profile to another does it requires to reboot the System?

Been using XTU for years, excellent program for Intel systems.
@cadaveca is another long time user of it.
I have to use an older version for my board but it has all the functions and readouts for the system, very nice.

I am under the impression that most software overclocking uses XTU in the background that gives the resulted clocks. IS this incorrect?
