hi i have asus rampage v extreme and 5960x.
one day like every i started the computer it showed cpu over voltage error i went to the bios the set value was 1.325 however it was showing that it is operating at 1.8v so i press f10 restarted the pc to start in the sit voltage the wondows wont start i resit all sitting to default the windows still wont start i tried booting from windows disk the pc restart as soon as the disk boot.
so i tried removing one ram at a time to know if the rams are dead but all the rams were fine. it tried every thing i didnt know why i decided to disable all core and enable core 1 and 2. the pc started normally when i tiered to enable core 0 it wont start even core( 6 and 7). so i think ether the socket or cpu have a problem.
ether way i am not writing this for solutions i am writing this to know what went wrong so it wont happen again. i dont want the same problem in 1950x
now my pc is working with core 1,2,5,6 only now
