We step it up a notch in memory speeds thanks to G.SKILL's pricey 3866 MHz TridentZ memory. This is one capable kit, ready for ultra-high speeds with Intel's Kaby Lake CPUs right out of the box, and even has some OC headroom to spare.

Stuck at 2933 on my ASRock Killer SLI/ac :(.

Guess I can continue to dream what that much bandwidth would do.

When you decide to test the perfect kit for X299 can you try a 128GB DDR4-3200 or higher kit? Really interested in how high X299 can achieve with high capacity RAM

Go on, STEP IT UP! Gotta go fast!

Too bad current Zen chip IMC don't let you go much past 3200MHz.

I can only imagine the price in my local retail. :kookoo:

This kit looks nice and performs great. I have not seen DDR4 latency that low around 40ns, which is what great DDR3 was doing. I would definitely tweak a kit or two like this on Z370 with a 8700K.

It's very possible. I benched at CL6 2000MHz DDR back in the Sandy Bridge days with an amazing Ripjaws X kit. I'd love to mess with DDR4 but alas it's very expensive in Canada.

G skill ram is quite impressive and used to be really cheap. DDR is expensive everywhere.. 16gb for non less than 120 euro in Italy (150 if sodimm).

If you're into bandwidth numbers, yeah, AMD does a great job when fully tweaked out. But what I find to be more important to me is latency, and AMD needs some improvements on that front in my opinion. I'll have some AMD memory reviews coming in the near future, too.
