Is this GTX 960 4GB a scam?

While I was browsing Ebay I found an offer for a GTX 960 4 GB for only 32.39 pounds .The screen shot of Gpu-z is very weird since its missing info and has very weird specs.The seller , however, has an excellent rating.

Nvidia GPUs no longer have separated Shader clocks since Kepler, so yes this looks like a scam.

TechPowerUP VGA BIOS collection says it's a GTS 450, so it's a scam. (BIOS version match)

Device ID was changed with a BIOS editor to show as a GTX 960.

Your GPU-Z version is really really old. Can you check with a newer version? The 1401 GPU seems to be GM206

The screenshot looks photoshopped too, look at the memory type field

The BIOS version from the screenshot suggests it's a GTS 450

This is not taken on my system, its provided by the seller on the ebay page linked in the first post.

first price is matter, if it tagged too low, you need to assume it as fake
so better avoid that

a sad truth that is largely unknown by much of the US population, is that a LOT of the overseas crap that is sold on US markets (like toys with toxic paint, or electronics that explode) sell on the US market because the US allows them to & they arent allowed (by their own countries Gov't) to sell to their own people due to regulations of consumer protection & safety. They ARE however allowed by the US to sell to Americans, because places like China have higher regulations than the US.

I couldn't believe it when i found out ,& i bet 9 out of 10 Americans would guess the USA has stricter consumer protection laws than say China for Example, but we dont. Im guessing this is a result of having tons of crap available for sale to the consumers at rock bottom prices.


so, blaming China, or whoever is misplaced blame. The US is where that blame belongs...our Gov't should be protecting us better than this.....You would Sh!t a brick if You knew how many americans get cancer, or other illnesses from Makeup, or other daily household items that contain carcinogens, when a safe ingredient could be substituted at a TINY cost/overhead increase...its a shame...the Human experiment in action

I've been to a Chinese electronics market with my aunt once, who is a flight attendant. Frankly, nothing could be further from the truth. I bought an early Fuloong mini pc there and it caught fire in my home a few years later... but that's not even my concern.

If china has any consumer protection, it is lipservice and nothing more.

Also fun fact: Pretty much everything is made in China. They can make good or bad. You pay accordingly.

have you researched this? or are you deciding what i said was incorrect based on anecdotal experience?

i cant comment on specifics , as its been some time since i did know them, but if your interested in this topic, look into it....i recommend watching "the Human Experiment" it does a decent job of making the information palatable, and contains some of what i have mentioned above in broad strokes
