Personal preferences over the shape and materials basically, nothing else. I've stated at the end of the review that it's quite overpriced.
As far as I know the dimensions are the same, as the EC2, of which I don't have one anymore unfortunately.
It really doesn't if you ask me.

Nope, EC2A. Razer has all kinds of swoopy curves on the buttons. This looks near 1:1 with EC2A aside from more shell joinery. The Death Adder is bigger than EC2A, the DA is closer to an EC1 or Intellimouse. There are a lot of mice with this same overall shape, but at different scales, because it is a shape that fits the human hand well, its all derivative of Microsoft Intellimouse.
