This one claims Black Cherry in the description, but aren't the inner workings of the removed V and B keys in this pic showing rubber dome "springs".

This is probably realistically the cheapest you can go on an actual mechanical.

Has Kailh Brown switches vs Cherry, but a 3 yr warranty. Not sure I could get used to the smallish size. It's also said to have a stiffer feel than Cherry Browns.

Maybe it's "Black Cherry MX" switches instead of Cherry Black MX?
Either way, I think that you get what you pay for.

I use Kailh Brown and i think they feel smoother than any of the 4 cherry keyboards i have owned.

I think price should not be a metric of quality. :shadedshu:
now that everyone has shared their thoughts, back to reality...

;) just kidding. still though, while price is not and should never be "the" metric - on the other hand it is, "a" metric, for consumers- with the caveat that it is not always accurate. still, i would say 70%+ of the time price will be an accurate indicator of quality, when compared with other options.

Price HAS to be a metric for a lot of us. I have no choice while living on a retirement income that never goes up.

It's still available at Amazon for only $50, but hasn't been reviewed very well. The main complaint seems to be key contact failure.
