We get back to the wacky world of motherboard monoblocks with a look at EKWB's solution for the MSI MEG Z390 Ace. Offering CPU and VRM cooling in a single block, monoblocks today aim to be more for aesthetics than performance, and the EK offering adopts a clear top with integrated dRGB lighting and their EK-Supremacy cooling engine.

An astonishingly niche product and as good as the review was/is(thanks @VSG!), its totally unneeded.

Basically a full cover block for your motherboard... for the low price of... well... a mid-range motherboard.

This was mostly out of my curiosity in how monoblocks have changed since I last tested one, and also because I finally had a fairly recent motherboard to test with. But yeah, unneeded is true here even if people may still want it regardless.

Nice to see a detailed review of monoblock performance and custom parts.

I water cooled my Z68X Gigabyte mainboard components (NB/SB/VRM). Not sure it did any good besides keeping everything on the board stone cold.

It is added bling. that cost doesn't justify the performance gains but if you want your loop to look that extra level, well then this performs in the eye candy category

Hopefully next week. I just spoke with them and they are lowering the cost based on my recommendation :)

$ 145 is really a lot.

You have a Optimus Waterblock review plan?
High price, High ambitions of the manufacturer)

Not really, I was just contacted by them in 2018 for their original block but it never showed up. I have a backlog to clear up first now.

Bitspower tempered its optimism and cut the price of the Premium Summit M by about $ 25.
