The Viotek GNV34DBE2 is one of the least expensive 34" ultrawide gaming monitors on the market. It sports a capable, curved VA panel, 144 Hz refresh rate with AMD/NVIDIA adaptive synchronization support, and several other interesting features.

a 34" ultrawide gaming monitor equipped with a 3440x1440 VA panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a 1500R curvature.
Also worth mentioning is Viotek's "zero tolerance" dead pixel policy—should you get one of their monitors with a single dead pixel, it will be replaced with a new one, no questions asked.

That's very impressive for $400 monitor.
Not sure if it will be available in Europe one day but if so, it probably will cost you more than $400....

I picked up this monitor from Viotek's website when I saw the review coming through the early access. Arrived two days later and fully calibrated this weekend. This monitor is amazing for work and performs like a champ on gaming (Overwatch, Horizon Zero Dawn, Destiny 2). I have been very impressed and wish I had an ultrawide at work now instead of 2x 27" monitors (yeah less real estate than the two, but extra room for windows overlapping feels so much better). I have this mounted on a Yellowtec m!ka monitor arm using the VESA 75 mm mounting locations, and the weight is actually less than the 27" ASUS that it replaced.

Nice review but I would recommend the Acer XV340CK instead for anyone looking for a high refresh ultra wide on a budget.
I got the Acer XV340CK for around 430$ from BHPhoto a couple months ago, it is even cheaper now. I think it is better than this monitor for just slightly more.
The Acer is flat, has an IPS panel and a better stand than this monitor.

I have to strongly disagree :) I've actually tested the XV340CK a couple of weeks ago. From my introduction:

Price-wise, the Viotek GNV34DBE2 has two competitors with somewhat similar technical specifications, the Acer Nitro XV340CK and Lenovo G34w-10. I've tested the Acer monitor in the past; it's generally solid, but has disappointing color and backlight uniformity, and it's completely flat, which causes a vignetting effect on the edges of its ultrawide panel when viewed from a normal sitting distance.

Funny enough everything looks exactly the same as the Specterpro 34uw100 that I got a couple of years ago. The OSD is even the same - the only difference is mine is only 100Hz which should confirm the upgraded VA panel they are saying.

My main gripe and what I would appreciate reviewers do is adaptive sync blanking. By default when you turn on Gsync/Freesync using these monitors - you would see flicker ot blanking on the screen at certain refresh rates. Using CRU does not fix it completely.

It looks very similar to my Monoprice monitor; almost certain to be the same OEM. The OSD is identical, and the overall design is very similar; just mine is 100Hz and has a 1800R curve. It's a great $400 monitor; this looks like a decent improvement.

I was not aware that Viotek had an excellent dead pixel policy. I think I was wary about that and ended up going with the Monoprice one when I was in the market for an ultrawide monitor. Monoprice made a huge deal about their excellent dead pixel policy. After eleven months of use, my monitor still has zero dead or stuck pixels and is still working perfectly. Good to see that they're an option for potential future monitor purchases of mine.

Can't speak for other reviewers, but gaming on a monitor with G-SYNC on is a standard part of my testing procedure. While I'm focusing on multiplayer shooters (Quake Champions, Apex Legends, BF5, Warzone, Overwatch), I'm also checking how it behaves in games like Rocket League, GTA V, and Tomb Raider. If and when I find anything out of the ordinary, it's mentioned in the review :)

Thanks for the review, and in fact I have just purchased this monitor. I have some other questions about settings.

What is the DCR setting, and should it be changed?
How about Super Resolution, or Dynamic Luminous Control?
There is an LedMode setting, does that need to be changed?

Finally, I've noticed that the picture does not take up all of the monitor's size...in other words there is a black space between the picture that is projected and the edge of my monitor. In other monitors I could manually increase the height or the width of the picture to fill the monitor, but I don't see a control like that. Am I missing it, or was it not included?
