I am using Elite Screen M135XWV2 for years... and it didn't cost that much and performs well... gain factor 1,1 on a 135 inch size, and yeah... that's huge.

I got it for 112Ls that's before Euro, so around 160Eur... but that was ages ago... but still this thing is waaay too overpriced. Mine has it's flaws obviously, but nothing that dealbreaking.

Yeah, had a gray 100" Silver Ticket screen for several years that I paid $250. Ended up replacing it with 130" screen for $200. Build quality of both look identical to this one, though this is a much darker gray.

The only reason I see for this screen is if you plan on using the projector with lots of light in the room (and so needing the gray), you have a very bright projector (since the gain on this is .4), and you need bigger than 86" since there are several actual TV options under $2000.

So im asking the maybe dumb question: but why have a screen like this that you project to when its the size of TV and you can get a OLED tv lower than the cost of a projectorscreen and a projector? Is the picture really better for movies than OLED?

83 or 100 inch oleds are still pretty expensive. The picture quality is pretty similar in many aspects.

edit: though ABL in OLED tv’s is cancer. So a bright projector likely gives a better experience in some HDR content. SDR content at 80-120 nits should look more or less the same on both. OLED having deeper blacks and projector having better uniformity and near black gradation.
