Yes it is legit. I got my Win7 Pro Upgrade from that site on 10/22 as did a lot of other members here.

There was actually already a thread: Win 7 Student Deal

Quick question. Are these media only and student/teacher editions, or are they dishing out retail upgrade boxes?

Digital download, or pay $13 for physical media. Not teacher or student edition, upgrade version of Home Premium or Professional your choice 32/64.

I got the 64bit version and it works GREAT. Good price and WIN7 works.

I love how I get Home Premium and Pro (both 32 and 64 bits) for free from my MSDNAA site.

This is the upgrade version? I have a feeling you need to have Vista to be able to upgrade to Win 7 with this offer :ohwell:

I installed this version on a computer with Win 7 RC with no issue. There is always the double install method (google it) but for those already running the RC this works flawlessly.

Yes this is what I am going to do, but my only concern is: later down the line can you do a clean install with this upgrade if you dont have Vista? can you use the the RC build cd+Win7 student upgrade to reinstall it?

Is this just the upgrade version?

Edit: Answered my own question. It is just an upgrade.
