Here is something that shows the performance hit with resolutions. Now this is an Nvidia better program that never liked resolutions above 1024x768

Hey what do you get with HDR/AA 8x, and adaptive AA?

You have to force it on in CCC, and turn on HDR in the game.

Yes but I thought there was a activation thing on Steam which allows one to use his/her cd key in order to activate their game on Steam.

Still trying to learn the card right now for volts, I predict that I will be up to 12K on 06 before long.

Try running your GTS with the CPU at 3285 and see what happens.

I tried a quick run at 3.285Gig but obviously my card has the voltmod on now so is a bit quicker, it does 700/2150 stable, at that CPU speed I got 11,140 :cry:

So with an extra 750Mhz or so on the CPU with this card it gives me 1,200 points, best score so far at just over 4Gig on the CPU is just over 12,300 for me.

So the 2900 pro JUST edges the 8800GTS 640MB and the Pro is cheaper than the 8800. Not bad at all. Not worth an upgrade IMO, but if you could sell the 8800 for more than the 2900 is costs and get one :rockout:

Yeah my thoughts also, I am sorely tempted, thing is I keep damn upgrading! I just wish I could keep something for at least 6 months and replace it with something significantly quicker if you get my meaning. I got an awesome deal for this GTS 640 though in a clearance offer, I paid slightly less than the 320 and around the same as most 2900Pro's cost over here......I will have to think about it more, there are still a few pro's left here but I will have to order by Sunday methinks to be safe.

Nice stuff man. I just did a curiosity run on my rig. F.E.A.R., max settings, 4x AA 16x AF 1600x1200. Pretty similar. All my stuff is at stock clocks BTW

You actually out score me then. Mine was 21 64 136. May be a driver issue. I will have 7.1 installed and I don't use CCC, it's needless bloat ware.

cuz arnt the newer ver. make the card better ? and idk but I tryed with the older ver. up to 7.3 or 7.4 that I get a better score with ccc over just the display driver in 3dmark :confused:

Hmm, I will try using it then, it might help. I never updated F.E.A.R either, it's V1.0, so that might have something to do with it.
