Hello, i have a problem with the Dual Bios in Gaming mode from the Card just mentioned above.
The thing is that in Silent mode the card works fine but reaching temps around 80-84c which i believe is lot,
Gaming mode isn't working just got a black screen cant flash it neither.
I've seem couple of video doing a comparison about the silent and gaming and the gaming bios isn't even touching 70c in 100% load.
i tried to contact with msi but got no support from them.

It's only a few degrees warmer than the review on here, so it seems fine for what silent mode aims for.

How long have you been waiting for MSI to respond?

Boot your pc with your silent bios enabled, once you are in windows switch the switch to the other bios, it should be selected then, back up that bios try to flash the same gaming bios again. https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/233955/msi-rtx3080ti-12288-210511-1 <-- bios link.
You can also use MSI Afterburner to set you own costume fan curve to keep your card cooler.

Please fill out your system specs. This will help knowledgeable TPU members (not me!) to find any issues. Your PSU might be insufficient but without specs, it's impossible to know.

i have seen another ones ad its like never gets over 69 degree it might be wrong also cannot say cause i cant try, they have replied me, this:

Content:
Dear Sir:
Thanks for choosing MSI!
Glad to be of service.
Regarding your concern,

1. Please try to uninstall the graphics card driver, and then reinstall the latest version of the graphics card driver.
2. Please try to reinstall the operating system to see if it can be resolved.
3. Please try to plug the graphics card into another PC to see if the same phenomenon occurs.

Best Regards
Have a nice day.

i have tried the 1st and 2nd step but nothing.

i Dont have how to try the 3rd

hello man, i did this but the problem is once i try to flash it, the monitor just blinks and appears an error saying it cannot recognize my GPU,

also cause im using a ryzen 7 3700x i tried to switch to gaming and enter with a teamviewr to give a try that way but still the same, also in that Bios GPU-Z doesnt recognize neither my bios saying "UNKNOW" and in the device Manager just with a Symbol saying that the device have some problems, then just change back to silent restart and everything fine

Please fill out your system specs. This will help knowledgeable TPU members (not me!) to find any issues. Your PSU might be insufficient but without specs, it's impossible to know.

not at all by changing in my motherboard bios in the CSM / UEFI boot option I switched to UEFI and now the two bios are working I no longer have a black screen
Iäve had same thought at first, but this is not working in my case. My pc stops booting from point when it checks gpu in gaming mode. So It is clearly some problem with BIOS

I have exact same problem and I'm convinced MSI chose not to install the components to support the second vbios.

The card was shipped with the switch set to "Silent".

In the silent position it boots fine, I can even flash the gaming xxxxxx.15 vbios with the switch in the vbios mode and it works fine.

If I power up in "silent" mode, then switch it to gaming mode so that I can read the vbios information using nvflash, it says the EEPROM is inaccessible; "Adapter not accessible or supported EEPROM not found.."

So it's either deliberately disabled (missing) or there is a faulty batch. I'm betting on the former. For reference mine is built March 2021, although I bought it two days ago brand new from Novatech in the UK.

It's the last MSI product I'll be buying any time soon.

Hello everyone I ve found the solution after I spoke with msi and with the local store from where I bought it with no much solutions I just decided to switch into the gaming Bios and literally just removed from the pci slot of the motherboard and plug it back and worked, I hope this can fix all of your problems too cheers

I've changed motherboard and CPU from i7 to AMD 5900 and I get the exact same issue.

It's an issue with the MSI RTX Suprim board. The second bios does not work and the fact they shipped it switched to the only working bios (silent) makes me think they know there is an issue.

What proportion of RTX3080Ti buyers are spending that money on a graphics card because they want to run it in "silent" mode?

Sorry to read about you guys having problems with your cards.
Looks like i dodged a bullet there; it was either The 6800XT Red Devil/GamingX/Z or the MSI 3080Ti GamingX/Z/Suprim/X;
seeing all the recent problems with nVidia cards by Gigabyte, Evga and now MSI decided to go with 6800XT and Powercolor Red Devil;
seems like and i hope i made the right choice, i don't want to speak too soon.

NVIDIA GPU Firmware Update Tool for DisplayID

Updated 10/20/2021 06:11 PM

NVIDIA GPU Firmware Update Tool for DisplayID

The DisplayID specification provides enhanced display capabilities. To ensure compatibility with monitors using DisplayID, an update to the NVIDIA GPU firmware may be required.

Without the update, systems that are connected to a DisplayPort monitor using DisplayID could experience blank screens on boot until the OS loads. This update should only be applied if blank screens are occurring on boot.

Click here to download the NVIDIA GPU Firmware Update Tool for DisplayID.

The NVIDIA GPU Firmware Update Tool will detect whether the firmware update is needed, and if needed, will give the user the option to update it.

If you are currently experiencing a blank screen, please try one of the following workarounds in order to run the tool:
-Boot using DVI or HDMI
-Boot using a different monitor
-Change boot mode from UEFI to Legacy
-Boot using an alternate graphics source (secondary or integrated graphics card)

Once you have the tool downloaded, please run the tool and follow the on-screen instructions. Ensure all apps are closed before running the tool and make sure no OS updates are pending in the background.
