I actually want to know if a 4870x2 will fit, but I'm pretty sure they're about the same size.

please let me know if you have this combo.

It'll fit, but you'll have to take out that black plastic fan holder on the middle drive bay if you haven't already.

its the tidiest shes ever been, basically ripped the mobo out and got the sellotape machine out haha. Looks like a racetrack behind that motherboard .

Buying a modular PSU and a lower profile CPU cooler this week so itll be even neater.

haha i set myself an hour aside to do it, ended up taking me a shade over 2 - but it feels so much better now its done.

TIPS TIME! :D

The space under the motherboard is enough to fit quite a few cables, provided you dont stck them.

If your using a card reader, move your harddrive out of the space allocated for them and balance it ontop of the black plastic surround used for the card reader - its a perfect fit and it stops the HDD clogging up space.

underneath the bottom removeable cage is about an inch of space, perfect for hiding cable you dont use (in your case that one doesnt apply, and wont for me soon, but for anyone else with captive cables, it will help :))

get a black permanent marker and colour in any cables that are white, purple, red or any other light colour so that they blend in more - in the picture of mine, you can see i have coloured both my SATA cables black to help them be less of a draw upon glancing.

Thats it for Kyles tips time!

Hope ive helped haha :D

Yeah, Kyle, looks awesome. :toast:

I really need to cut some holes in my 900...too lazy to do it, though.

i wanted to, but i dont have the tools etc to do it. Would be brilliant if you could though, it would look bloody awesome.

*edit*

can i ask, what temps does your 9700 return? Im looking to buy one, want to get some thermal comparison in my mind.

i dont blame you, a case thats larger and has a motherboard tray would be nice, plus different HDD enclosures - the antecs spoil it for me, i mean not only the color but the lack of accessability.

A CM Stacker would be nice ;)

Mind you, my CPU is OC'd to 3.6 w/ a 1.32 vcore. Using MX-2 TP.

Idle: 32*C

Load: 54*C

Don't remember the temps at stock speed, but I can assure you they're pretty low. The only downside to the 9700 is the noise.

i just want to add that i love this case. i built a pc for my wife with this case. i have a stacker 830, but i would definitely use this case for me gaming rig. i thought i share something i did with the 900 too. when i got it, i drill holes on the bottom right underneath where the psu sits. why you may ask? because hot air goes up and i don't want the extra hot air from the psu to heat up my case. so with the holes on the bottom and the psu turned the other way to exhaust air out, the case is nice and cool. my friend thought i was crazy drilling holes on the bottom of the case :). if you have a dremmel, cut a big hole so you can get more air flow out. look at it this way, you have the psu blowing hot air out on the bottom. you have the big fan at the top of the case blowing hot air from the cpu/gpu/memory out at the top. you also have the back fan blowing air air. you have the two front fans drawing cool air into the case. the middle of the case of should cool.
