A modder who calls himself “Anthony” has single-handedly built a brand new Voodoo 5 6000 video card.
3dfx's legendary video card lineup dominated the PC gaming market for years, before Nvidia took over the company.
The Voodoo 5 6000 was one of the manufacturer's last cards to roll off the production line.
Anthony has managed to reverse engineer and rebuild an original Voodoo 5 6000.
The homemade card is equipped with four VSA-100 chips and sixteen 8 MB 166 MHz sdram modules.
These chips are placed on a self-designed pcb, which also has Anthony equipped with a 4-pin molex connector.
This eliminates the need for the external power supply that came with the original card.
The homemade card works exactly like the original Voodoo cards, including all bugs.
Anthony also emphasizes that the original Voodoo has not died.
It is not known whether Anthony will stick to this example, or whether it will build more units to possibly sell.

The company never released the Voodoo 5 6000 to the public.
