@TUM_APISAK posted some 3DMark scores of the Radeon VII that he apparently dug up from UL Benchmarks' database. Here's a look:

Wait for legit review (Anandtech, TPU, Guru3D and etc). This is below expectation and I don't think it will reflect actual performance.

You do realize this is the graphics score, right? It seems to me it matches the rumors of somewhere around 2080 performance....

My RTX 2080 FE scored 13K in FS Extreme and 10.8 in TSy (again graphics scores). The TSpy result does seem low though...

This is too far off. This is 2070 performance not 2080 performance.

Edit again: This is even too far off for AMD's marketing team to say near 2080 performance levels.

???? The FSe result matches close enough... no idea on the TS.

My 2070 FE scored 11.1K/9.1K in FSe and TSpy respectively (8700K @ 4.7 GHz).

AGAIN this is NOT the overall score but the GRAPHICS score.

Yep... our 1080 Ti (Strix, so OCd) hits 14.9k in FSe... faster than our 2080 FE. The 2080 FE average out to less than 10% faster than a 1080 Ti IIRC... I also think a title or two we tested it(1080Ti) performed better in for whatever reason.

I don't know what is going on with TS, but the FSe results seem to jive with what AMD said/posted about it being ~2080.

Not saying it is the case but it would be alarming if basically a week away your card is way underperforming on a common benchmark. Does this mean that software needs to be patched to make use of the card kinda like Bulldozer? Are drivers that immature with this little time left?

Again, just throwing out reasons for people's concern although I doubt many thought that much about it beyond looking at pictures.

The only concern here are the Timespy results. I saw generic bitching and wanted to clarify what we are seeing (with FSe).

I have no idea what is going on with TS... like others, I wait for release day.

The numbers in 3dmark firestrike Graphics score, dosent look far off. AMD said around RTX 2080 performance and a RTX 2080 performance is around a GTX 1080 TI. So i have benched my own GTX 1080 TI in firestrike and the result is not far off from those in the link. stock my card score (My card is a factory overclock card, but for fair ness i have rolled GPU clock back to nvidia reference clocks in this test) 27548 in graphics score and with the overclock i run for every day use it score 30169 in graphics score. While if i push the card to the brink of crash, i can get 30798 in graphics score.

Update: Now i have also run time spy and again my scores and Theres are spot on. So i dont think they have manipulated scores or given false ones. At least not with GTX 1080 TI.

So a 1080Ti with a mild OC with a real CPU gets

7655 for the GPU in firestrike ultra LINK
15403 for the GPU in firestrike extreme LINK
31349 for the GPU in firestrike LINK
9978 for the GPU in timespy LINK

It is not actually that much faster than a VEGA FE at completely stock settings and this was an absolutely terrible run.

5221 for the GPU in firestrike Ultra LINK
6699 for the GPU in timespy LINK

What is the point for this card again? It doesn't even beat a GPU from the last generation. It wasn't even the best GPU of that gen.

but your forgetting thats AMD's Top of the line card from 2019 barely besting nvidia's from 2015

year per year price point for price point if you can't play but those rules amd then tis time for you to leave
