What's the deal with x38 chipset? Is it supposed to replace p35?
I lurked on newegg and it appears that all x38 based mobos are much more expensive.

I plan on getting penryn 9450 i think. is it going to require x38?
Thanks in advance.

No its not to replace it, just a higher end model, like the 975 + 965.
both will work with penryn (x38 or p35)
