4850 past 700 Will RBE fix this

First time using RBE and was wondering If anyone has Been able to get there 4850 to run past 700core with this tool,and what to modify?I was so used to nbitor i didnt even realise u needed gpuz to extract ur bios I did find 2 strange things.1st RBE shows a power cable message.Says you have not connected the power cable to ur video card!Running great at 700 1150 with no power cable.Just kidding i think its plugged in.2nd showed my ram in profile as 115000 ok nm i see when i look up just 2 extra zeros.So any1 wanna just tell me no explanation needed.What values i need to change.Just wanna see how far past 700 i can get with no mods.And my fan staying at 90%

Just use AMDGpuClockTool if you don't wana change voltage.

Cant use gputool and CCC at the same time.Soon as i clock above 700 fan profile craps outIve only seen a couple peeps get em both to work.You get em working together?

I think that there is a fix to this if you check the thread dedicated to it should explain how, haven't tried for myself.

Just set the fan in the bios, and overclock with GPUClocktool until you find the max, then flash that. I'll have a screen of the proper RBE settings for the clock tables up soon.

Simple but effective.THANKS Urbklr.Dunno y i wanna see what i get at stock V.Most ive seen is 720ish.If i get 730 stable ill leave it stock.Adjusted fan with RBE and now happily over 700 with AMD GPU Clock Tool.Used winflash to was first time for me not in DOS.Thanks for the help and the tool wow easier than i thought.

Has anyone tried bumping up the voltage using RBE? I heard on another forum that it's possible to give it 1.3v through BIOS modification. I know it isn't that much considering stock voltage is 1.263, but it's more than adequate for me.


*EDIT* Sorry I didn't realize that this was a 4850 thread. However you might be able to make a voltage adjustment on the 4850's this way too.

Yea i wanted to check stock which only turned out to be 711 1150 3dmark run thru.Ill end up doing the bios voltmod as i always like seeing what hardware can do unmoded.Then if the mood strikes me ill do a pencil mod.Was surprised to find tools for these cards already working such as RBE and winflash worked great to set the fan speed.The ace profile fan worked but refused to work with amdgputool for me at least.This card seems to need more juice because i never saw artifacting just stoped working over 711.Could be wrong but that tells me low voltage.

Yeah I mean the 4850's have the same core as a the 4870's . It's not a crippled core at all so more juice and you should be able to get it up to 4870 speeds. I'm really surprised that AMD wouldn't lock out some of the Processing Cores. But maybe they planned it that way to give people more of a reason to buy a 4850 over a 9800GTX.

Answered my own question.

RBE will do what i wanted.I also did the pencil mod and im right on 1.4V core.Mem i wont mod as i see some trying to reverse mod them for lower volts.The fan i set at 90% at 40C and 100% at 50C.In clock settings set 3d volts for 1.4 @720 2D and boot i left alone.Most i can squeese out now is 736 1125 only 25MHZ more than unmoded.Satsfied but am i missing something in bios i see some gettiing 850 on core,or like cpu's "luk of the draw".Looping Crysis i only get 55C but i feel the extra .05V people are using to get 850 wont work for me.I hope no ones hideing anything about bios or voltmod to get such high clocksAny1 got any ideasIm satsfied even if this is all i can get.55C at these clocks using 24/7"http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=7607882"Quad @375X8

0k so i bumped it up to1.45 hehe big diff THX for the help not.No really thx for the tools and to poster #2 rest of u guys coulda helped but u didnt for some reason now 760 11550. not much 3do6 improvement. trying to chek against 9800gtx overclocked with same cpu scores.Gotta goto work but @1.45 think its gonna clock
