little thanks for that awesome review :toast:

so guys what u thing if i pick randomly any one of them will it will be ok ?:confused:

and plzz suggest me sm good manufacturers
For ATi go for HIS/Sapphire/Powercolor
For nVidia go for: EVGA/XFX
Asus cards are good, but they are almost always overpriced. <= In this part of the world that is.

At lease it will make a difference in DX11 games.
DX11 is a super-set of DX10.1 whuch is an extension of DX10 anyways.

That's BS. DX 10.1 won't have any greater gain than DX10 in a DX11 game. Name your source post haste!

SLI is nVidia's competition for ATI's CrossfireX.

Actually, CrossfireX is AMD's answer to nVidia's Quad SLi. Crossfire was ATI's response to SLi.

And as for the card.. you're not going to play Crysis @ 1920x1200 with 4xAA on a single 250 or 4850, so there is no point in comparing that.

Their are both comparable, technically. I would choose the 250 because it folds better.

One of my PC's runs a 4850 with a strong overclock of both the CPU and GPU, everything watercooled (the pump has an added power draw), plus 4 fans -- all of the above with a Corsair 450 PSU. I never have any problems.

Get the ATI HD 5770. It's better than a 4850 or GTS 250, and it draws less power.

EDIT: To change you system specs, go to User CP on the forum menu bar, chose Edit System Specs, listed on the right.

That's BS. DX 10.1 won't have any greater gain than DX10 in a DX11 game. Name your source post haste!
Depends on what you mean by Gains.
As D3D10.1 supports Cubemap Resource Arrays it does allow better management of resourses.
DirectX 10.1 also allows more control on Image Quality.
It is not a big deal really, but there is indeed a difference.
DX11 do includes all these optional features of DX10 which is DX10.1.
It is up to the game developer to decide how they code their games, but the feature is there.

DX10.1 can be seen as BS for it is not required and not many games decide to implent it.

If you can't fit the 5770 in your budget how can you fit a 4850+PSU to run it? If your PSU is decent(What company makes it?), then you should just take the money from buying a new psu and get the 5770. Then you would be DX11 ready as well.

i stay in India this is that my budget is 10000 rupees here i get 4850 or gts 250 for 7000 rupees and a psu for 2000 rupees and cost for 5770 is 12000 rupees so its way far form buget i know my psu is low quality and i have jst one fan in my cabinet so i need a new psu
Hd 5750 is around 10000 rupees so its not worth to spend 3000 rupees extra jst for DX11
is it ???

If your PSU is not a good one, buy all means replace it. Either the 4850 or the GTS 250 will play all games, and most very well. If you are running XP or Vista, DX11 is irrelevant.

You need to make your own decision about this. I'd say get the best one based on price and who the manufacturer is. Also, go to the review section of TPU, read the TPU reviews on each one, and make up your own mind. (W1zzard puts every card he reviews through extensive tests.)

BTW: either card will add a lot of heat to your PC. You'll need more fans. Also, chose a card the exhausts it's heat out the back of the PC, not one that has a "naked" fan that cools the card, but doesn't channel it out the back.

any psu that has at least 32+ amps on the 12v rail will easily power those cards. so look for that

same performance. it all depends on the game. ati games (source) wins 4850. nvidia games (crysis, nfs shift) wins gts 250.

it all depends of this.

A - if u have a crossfire mobo ---> 4850
B - you have a sli mobo ---> gts 250
C - you want physx ---> gts 250
D - you want good drivers ---> gts 250
E - you want the cheaper ---> 4850
lolz, that D one is kinda killing the point, didnt you get the memo that nvidia was the fault for vista failure? hehe
C is pointless now that DX11 and OpenCL is out, A is a good one, as ALL AMD and Intel chipset that has 2 PCIe x16 slots support crossfire, that cant be said for B ;) E is also a good one as ATI is cheaper and has latest technology like DX10.1, HDMI with LPCM 7.1 Lossless out, no crappy cable! (NVIDIA)

if you want 3 year OLD techonlogy go for NVIDIA aka GTS 250 aka 9800GTX+ aka 9800GTX also known as 8800GTX, if you want latest technology go for ATI aka 4850 :p

A 9800GTX is not a 8800GTX(G80), it is basically a 8800GTS 512MB (G92) with higher clocks.
The fact is the G80 is still superior to the G92 in performance in many ways,
and the 8800Ultra is still overall faster than any G92 @stock.

if you can push your budget to 3000 rupees you could get a corsair 400w which is more than enough for an 4850 and GTS250

No. Not for a single card. There is a provision on certain AMD motherboard where you can have it switch from using the on-board video for 2D and HTPC applications, to using the add-on card for gaming.

You have an Intel motherboard, either card will work just fine.
