CPU-Z is saying 4gb. Honestly if you want to see 4gb's of RAM in Windows use a 64bit version. Xp is also taking into account your video memory, and memory on your sound card. I see you also have your onboard audio enabled which will take away some RAM.

I reported him like 2 minutes ago. Anyway, it doesn't matter if XP is detecting it as 2GB right? As long as you're getting the full 4GBs worth. Or 3.5 in XP.

Um... XP 32-bit doesn't see a full 4GB of ram because 32-bit cannot use more than 3.3 GB (well unless it is a server).

Ya it can see it but it doesn't utilize it properly, still only gives you 3.25GB free, it's a marketing trick. If you want a Win32 Bit OS to see and use it properly there would have to be major modifications to the Memory Management System.

Oh right, OK. I thought it allowed another application to take the extra .75gb.

Is there not a Memory Remapping option in the BIOS? If so, then change the setting.
