4K Blu-Ray Playback...Is It Possible?

I've just bought a 4K Blu-Ray but my system doesn't seem to recognise it at all, no surprise there though as my ODD doesn't support BDXL.

But...are there any optical disk drives currently capable of reading 4K Blu-Rays?
I'm using PowerDVD 16 Ultra which states it can playback 4K content...but too vague to know if that includes 4K Blu-Rays.

PowerDVD 16 doesn’t support UltraHD Blu-ray (UHD-BD) disc playback yet. The requirements for PCs to play UHD-BD discs is much greater than for CE players, and currently CyberLink is still developing it for the PC ecosystem

i haven't heard of a UHD-BD compatible playback mechanism.

as for drives. there are several out there that support bdxl. but without the playback software they're really only good for backup devices currently

So there are no drives AND no software available or announced to read/playback UHD Blu-Rays? I sure hope the demand gets high enough for it!
My PC is my main device for watching films, and I'd rather stay away from compressed streaming/downloads! :(
