4K Performance Update

Hi Guys,

I've been out of the game for quite a while. Just wanted to know what it would take money and hardware wise to have a comfortable 60fps single monitor 4K experience. 60 FPS for MOST games is fine...

titan X or 1080 or 1070 SLI is your best bet until the 1080ti and Vega come out - so $900 - $1200 on gpu and about ~$800 on the desktop so you're looking at 2000-2200 for a solid 4k custom tower.

you may be able to build it a bit cheaper but it will struggle at 4k. Those mins can get pretty low.

That will probably drop by about $400-600 in the next 2 months as Ryzen, 1080ti and Vega hit the market. Now isn't the best time to build.

All peripherals case and speaks sorted. Just need the actual internal components with new storage drives and a 4K screen.

Again, what size? A 27 or 32 inch monitor will eat up more of your budget than a 24 inch will.

I have a Asus PB287...q......... Yes Q

grate and cheap 4K screen with really low DISPLAY LAG 10.5ms (AND NO I don't mean the pixel response time (by Asus measured to 1ms) but if you want 32" then it is not useful for you but Really Check the Display lag on what ever screen you decide to buy. just a hint

GFX wise I have a KFA2 (Galax) GTX1080 HOF, the only game I cant run at 2160p all on high is The Division it is really struggling keeping the 60FPS even on medium settings. and with DX12 I lost 1 FPS in the benchmark. so for a single card GTX1080 is Minimum and not really enough and my card is running 2012-2088Mhz.
