To pay that kind of money for that card is sick. I will stick with my 4800 series for now.

I got my 4870 x2 for $520 with shipping about a month after release through some amazingly awesome Best Buy deal on their website (random). I'm really hoping to do the same for the 5870 x2 by November. I need to upgrade my space heater (ie computer) for my room for winter anyways... ATI is good for that.

Any site that steals pics off the internet to sell a product is sketchy in my book.

It's currently backordered.

The price looks like something nVidia would do in the 8800 era, but not now.
It's a fact that AMD could very well put the HD5870 at this price tag now. This price bump has been used before with new generation cards and, let's face it, the HD5870 won't have any competition in its performance segment for quite some time.

Fortunately, we already know the card's price will be around $350.

Also word. it is supposedly "aggressively priced at around 300.00" That was the claim.
