I was running Firestrike last night, overclocked 4070 Ti Super at 2970 core, 1532 memory, power limit at 107%, with 14900K at 60/45/50. I was drawing under 500W max.

4070 Ti Super is a < 300W card
Let’s say it’s 300W. Add another 200-250 for the worst case scenario for the rest of the system you go up to 500-550W.
An avg power system with 4070Ti Super will draw 450-500W.

Most likely a quality 650W PSU can power any system with 4070Ti Super on.
Need to know the rest of the (whole) system in details for more accurate estimation.

Running HX 1050w with 4070S. Was looking at SuperFlower Leadex 1kw for my kids rig. Only 120bucks for that unit.

I'm a go big or stay home kind of guy. Gonna say 850w would be suitable and could tackle an upgrade if you where going RTX 4080/5080 for example, or big wattage cpu like 14900K/285K as example.

That not normal for 5900X and 4070Ti/S

5900X typically is a 90-110W CPU on gaming and 4070TiSuper is 280-300W

That's interesting. I wonder whether the Prime Ti just had an abnormally high max power output (at reduced efficiency). Either way I moved to a GX850 which seems to be working fine too but it also has to deal with a tuned 9950x. I did get a Leadex VII 1300W but i'm not going to bother installing it till the 5090 or whatever gets released

i have 4070 super 13700k and under load use around 400-450. 450-550watt is likely with 4070 ti super depending on cpu.

Even just playing a game with my little X3D my system is at 400-450 at the wall.

I rode the edges of a few PSU's over the years, and yeah they did it until they couldn't.

I would just get what the box says to get.

However, a good quality 650 W unit will do just fine, unless this 4070TS is paired with something unorthodox like heavily overclocked 10980XE + a dozen server grade HDDs or anything along those lines.

My kid's rocking an EVGA 600 watter, not modular, with a XFX RX 6700 XT. But has a lower wattage cpu. Seems ok with the 8+8p jumper. I don't think I'd try a 4070 Super/TI/s with it though.
