Hi everyone,
I just bought the Asus 660 Ti (standard edition), they didn't have the TOP edition.
I took my old 8800 GTS out, uninstalled all previous drivers.
Plug my 660 Ti, boot to windows 7, runs standard VGA driver, then I install the nvidia drivers.
I've tried the driver they gave me on CD, 304.xx and the latest 305.68 versions.
Everytime it finishes the install, asks me to reboot, and every reboot, i get a black screen.
I go into SAFE MODE to uninstall the driver, go back to windows 7 and it runs ok using the
standard VGA driver.
Now everytime, I try to install the nvidia drivers, I get BLACK SCREEN!?
I put my old 8800 GTS in and kept the 304.xx and 305.68 drivers, they work fine.
But not with my 660 Ti ?
Does this mean I have defective 660 Ti ?
Please help, I'm so desperate to get everything working and I've been at it for hours, looking for a solution.
My system information is as follows;
cpu: 3770k (no O/C)
mobo: Asus p8z77pro
PSU: Corsair GX750w
Windows 7 64 sp1
Any ideas and help will be much appreciated. Thankyou
